We are no strangers to the occasional wishlist around here and while I doubt that the major manufacturers pay much attention, we know that many of the great aftermarket companies actually do - so why not help them out and get a small wishlist going for what we hope to see in 2025.

In order to focus the list a little perhaps we could limit this thread to post WW2 aircraft and a top 3 type list:

My list would look like this:

  1. 1/32 3D printed weapons bay for the F-35 kits (preferrably Italeri) with a LOT more detail than the kit versions.
  2. 1/32 Resin/3D cockpit sets for the Trumpeter F/A-18 Super Hornet / Growler kits. - These kits need a lot more love and attention
  3. 1/32 F-16 full cockpit in 3D - one that actually fits the Tamiya kit well and with all the details behind the seat.

My "Crazy" buffer would be an entirely new front end to the Trumpeter A-10 kit with the correct shape etc.

I would second the 32nd F-18E/F cockpit sets for the Trumpeter kits.

My first choice though would be cockpit sets for the Kitty Hawk/Storm Factory F-5E and F. The kit cockpits are very underwhelming, and far too shallow. I've contacted Reskit a few times in the past about it, and they've assured me that they're on the to do list, but nothing yet. The fact that they've been releasing cockpit sets for other large scale jets gives me hope though. I've got 9 of the KH F-5E's, and 3 of the F's just waiting for cockpits, so my fingers are crossed! Easy fix:

Cut off the cockpit bottom around the lower edge, add styrene strips 3 or 4 (preferable) mm wide around the edge (added some styrene from outside to help with alignment), then re-glue the bottom. Done.

A nice bang seat (early or late is available too:

An F2G conversion for the Tamiya Corsair kit. I'd love to see one from either Laminar Flow or Halberd. Either one of those would absolutely knock it out of the park.

And you could add conversions for -5s,AU-1s, and -7s into the bargain while your at it.
