Some others options in the 90th BS, 3rd BG. Nearly all displayed a sharkmouth.
I had the opportunity to exchange a few messages with author Lawrence J Hickey, back in the 90s, but unfortunately, vol.2 of his 3rd BG study isn't yet published... https://irandpcorp.com/products/3bg1/I have saved about 20 pics of 90thBS A-20 but don't know if some decals have been released in 1/32...
PM me if needed.
Another source of info would be Pacific Profiles #3, but I don't have it...

The shark's mouth was not a marking on a particular A-20, it was on all the 90th SQ A-20s until about the late-spring of 1944.>

I realize I won't be able to find enough information about this specific A20. But it looks like I'll eventually build it somehow. I think I can use the "P" code on the tail, slightly change the serial number in the details Martin gave, and be done. Just don't blame me when I do this.

Hi,
When I bought this book by Squadron years ago, I really liked the A-20 Havoc on the cover and planned to do it one day.
Nowadays, the new HKM kit is flirting with me. However, despite my research, I could not find another picture of this Havoc. Therefore, the sqd code letter on the Rudder and the serial on the tail are unknown. There isn't even any clue.
In my research, I saw that this A-20 belonged to the 90th BS of the 3rd BG in New Guinea, or it most likely belonged to it. But even this is insufficient for the missing details.
I can somehow make Shark mouth with a mask, but the code number issue is a mystery. It seems like an option to drive rivet counters crazy by using tail codes as J, P or X.
I would like to know your opinions on this subjectThanks in advance

Really nice work going on there, Tolga.
I admire your craftsmanship and perseverance!
Thanks Fanes, appreciated
I'm still not sure if this will actually look like a P-51B when it's finished. The upper rear fuselage still looks a little thick. I don't want to list other problems. If I do I would be sabotaging myself

Some more progress on the wing
The location of the wingtip lights should be corrected. They should be located on the upper and lower surfaces of the wing.

Decals started to be placed.
The Balkenkreuzs on the wings are from the kit decals. The ones on the fuselage are from my spare box.
sqd decals were made as customized years ago
Thanks to Pastor John @Pastor John for his confirmation regarding the upper wings decals. -
Here we go;
As if it was God's command, we started from the cockpit again.

Go with your reference. I would forget what it should look like
5 hours ago, Dpgsbody55 said:It looks as if the plane has the underwing balkenkreuz on the top surface too. If you have any spare decals, you could choose one of them if it's more suitable. Perhaps do a bit more research first? Given this is an unusual camo, it makes sense to take your time and get it right if you can.
Looks great so far.
Cheers,
Michael
Thanks

Tolga - You will be a better (already VERY VERY GOOD) modeler when you finish this. It is really making you work for the quality result I know you will get! Good job.
Thanks a lot
