LSP_Mike
Ought to be interesting. The Duck and a Pete would make me happy, along with a Do 17. Time will tell. kkarlsen, Stefano and Out2gtcha

The Phantom
I assume lancaster is the same waiting on any meng action. but DR1 in 1/24 not a scaled up version. Much better design.
esarmstrong
I'm guessing that this first release is a "tweener" (between the wars) that saw action in WWII. Paul in Napier
scvrobeson
As is tradition, new company gets launched, and every chips in the wishlist of things that would not sell well. Given the expertise and track record of those involved, seeing anything outside of WW1 or maybe the early inter-war period seems pretty far-fetched. Meng did all the tooling for the Dr.I, and WNW owed them money when they closed so the tooling was part of a deal to pay off Meng. The Lanc moulds are owned by different Chinese companies who, whilst specialists in injection moulding, are not interested in becoming model companies. It's likely that the moulds for the Lanc and the 0/400 had already been paid for by WNW as there were test shots of both kits doing the rounds (I know that at least one former WNW staffer has a copy of the unreleased 0/400 kit). If we have to go through this phase then I want EARLY variants be for the F and Gs (e.g., A B, C D). ZM is producing ‘109Gs any way right? Yes eventually. And the 109e by Dragon/ HGW is pretty nice

Their website says they aim expert and even novice modelers, a mixed assortment of subject and level should be on the table then. And scale? Radub
5 hours ago, The Phantom said: Then how did the DR1 get released? Purchase contracts contain clauses such as "all goods remain the property of the supplier until paid in full". As the tool maker, Meng was the "supplier". Due to the events affecting WNW, the invoice was not paid in full and thus the tooling remained the property of the tool maker. When a model is made, producing the steel molds is the most expensive part of the process, many times more expensive than the value of the CAD artwork. Meng already spent a lot of money on bringing the mold to an almost-complete state, so failure to pay the bill was quite a loss for them. They covered their expense by selling the model. thierry laurent
I would love them releasing the Lanc but this would very probably be a very risky venture as a first release unless they obtained the deal of the century. So it will probably finally go out but I would not hold my breath for that!
