Finn Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 (edited) Found this on a 3D printing site: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4723122 you'd have to scale it down to the size you want as the full scale makes it 12" in dia. edit: click on the links under the Tags section for more 3D printed engines and parts. With three of my current and upcoming build subjects powered by Merlins, I saved your work for reference. Thanks for posting! Cheers, Tom Thanks Tom, I added the extras to the engine based on drawings for the Merlin. The great thing about the Tamiya kit is I sized all the extra parts from the drawings and they fit the kit parts like a glove - well done Tamiya-san. Let me know if you need any details and I will try and dig out my archives. Uncarina 1
Out2gtcha Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 Most excellent power plants here. Just finished a couple of R2800s: turbo, kkarlsen, John1 and 21 others 23 1

Padubon Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 I like this idea. Engines are my favorite part of a build. This one is for a future build of a Corsair: This other one is for G. Gladiator: turbo, kkarlsen, Buster99 and 17 others 20

chuck540z3 Posted January 19, 2021 Posted January 19, 2021 (edited) I've got a few Tamiya Spitfire Mk IX Tamiya P-51D And assuming jet engines are OK, Trumpeter A-10C with Sierra Hotel resin engines in heavily modified shrouds Kitty Hawk F-5E. All of the raised rivets are Archer decal rivets Tamiya F-4E. Lots of Eduard PE glued onto resin nozzles. They make much better ones now. And probably my best engine nozzles ever on the Tamiya F-15C. 330 tiny photo-etch and kit parts glued onto kit and Two Mikes nozzles. Now that the fantastic ResKit versions are available, this is probably a waste of time. Cheers, Chuck Edited January 19, 2021 by chuck540z3 Twobad, Cicciuzzo, kkarlsen and 19 others 21 1
Gazzas Posted January 19, 2021 Posted January 19, 2021 You guys are crazy! Talented. Gifted.... but crazy! beautiful engines, on all. I'm a naughty boy... if it wouldn't be seen... then I don't bother. Last time I went whole hawg was on this WNW Product. Engine is exposed... what can I say. I still didn't go to plug wires... they wouldn't be visible. R'spect to y'all. N.H.71, turbo, ColinR and 14 others 17
