npb748r
way too much beer consumed before hitting submit !!! The bidding history is interesting, started at £100 and rapidly jumped. Bet the person selling it is slightly hyper at this point in time.
James Rademaker
$7,800.00 for a model, and the bidding isn’t over?? Some people have money to burn. I guess the old saying of “If you have to as the price, you can’t afford it” applies here. Jim
Gary Needham
Genuine bidding (unless someone is sadly sabotaging the auction) and paying once the dust settles and 'Auction Fever' subsides, are two entirely different things. Kagemusha
If you scroll down you can see two bid retractions, one for £7'500 and the other for £27'500, maybe it's another battle between Bezos and Musk? Out2gtcha
At an exchange of $9000+ USD, someone REALLY wants a Trumpy lighting decked out with ill fitting Aires parts! Paramedic
Stokey Pete
Having thought about it, and the ridicule that some prices for certain kits receive……I wonder if it’s those people ridiculing, who are joke bidding before then unleashing a flurry of retractions as the auction draws to a close. If it isn’t, and it genuinely goes for that much…..mind blown. I better see if I got anything rare in the loft.
eoyguy
I've seen some e-bay listing from Japan that made me wonder if the yen to dollar conversion machine was FUBAR. This makes those look like bargain bin deals, to be sure. Maybe it's Peter Jackson showing us all that when HE wants a kit, he will get THAT kit, price be damned!!!
