The 1/24 scale market is relatively barely touched in aviation models, I think Meng is following an interesting path with this release.

I only mention it because they've shown an interest in 1/12 car kits as well.

Moving into the next level of scales could be quite a smart move for them.

I'll buy one anyway!

Sensible scale for models of this size.

Well this clearly isn't the WNW tooling.

Given that the only experience Meng seems to have with the Fokker DR.1 is inheriting the WNW mold, I’d be very much surprised if this isn’t just a direct scale up of the 1/32 kit.

Bingo. Honestly after looking at the Meng 32nd kit, that 1/24th CAD pic/drawing what-have-you, has the double stacking pads just like the 32nd kit, same design and look to the fuse, and same look to the PE MGs.

Id agree that Meng has 0 experience with the DR.1/F.1, with the excepetion of the WnW molds, so Id say there is a very high percentage change this is an upscale of their 32nd kit.

Hopefully they will have improved the Q.C. issues that plagued their 1/32 version.

Honestly the kit is great from what Ive seen, and to me if the warp in the wings (fixed with water and a board) and a broken middle cockpit combing part is all there is physical issue wise, I'm good with it.
