Juggernut
Looks great! I may even get one. From the side window openings up front it looks like a Mk. IV but since I normally squash mosquitoes instead of studying them, my information may be lacking. If they release an FB. VI, I'm definitely in. LSP_K2, Youngtiger1 and D.B. cbk57
I don't know much about the mossie but I have looked at lots of Merlin engines and the back side of that engine looks wrong. Is it substantially different on this plane vs the Spitfire or the Mustang? The supercharger, the intake and the valve covers all look different from what I am used to seeing on real engines and models of the Merlin. The distributors also look wrong as you can see the wire looms running off the side of the heads and ending instead of connecting up to the distributor. Then the distributor where it would connect up to the ignition harness seems to run into the back of the head like it is wrongly positioned or something. I don't want to say something is wrong but somehow it all just does not look right. One more point. The supercharger looks like maybe it is installed upside down as I think the intake and carburetor should be on the bottom. That may just be an installation error and missing parts not on the sample. Alburymodeler
Those in-situ upper nacelles will make it hard to do the two stage Merlins which, I am informed, were six or eight inches longer, which is 6.35 mm in this scale. Otherwise, looking good. Edited November 5, 2014 by Alburymodeler
scvrobeson
Outside of the engine, the rest of it looks great. If they don't tweak the engine between now and release, I guess you could always purchase a couple of Tamiya Merlin sprues and put them in the nacelle. Tony T
Ooooh ! A slide moulded monocoque fuselage, lovely engine thingies and detailed undercart ! Bu**er, I may have to buy and build every release of this delight ! Tony Artful69
LSP_K2
Not my bag, but I'm happy for those that like the bomber version, and look forward to some being built here when the time comes.
Out2gtcha
Agreed, it looks great! The moldings for the air-frame look terrific, but I agree, the engine does not look like a Merlin to my untrained eyes.

JamesHatch
The whole Mossie will make it to Telford. Neil is assembling as I write. In fact, probably on the plane on the way over. Come visit us on the Pocketbond stall, and we'll have the Mossie on display....AND, if you're waiting for the Lanc, then we really do have something to get your juices flowing.
