  1. Definately a glass nosed Bomber/PR variant coming as there's a break in the fuselage immediately ahead of the strengthening band looking at the pics... And looking at this view, although I can't quite see enough, but it appears that everything immediately ahead of the firewall in the nacelle is separate indicating that maybe twin stage merlins are in the pipeline aswell...
  2. Well! There's my wallet melted, that's for sure........... That looks amazing
  3. I'll have both for sure, the 19800 Yen price translates to £110, but there's fat chance of it coming out at that figure. Given that the HKM is price at £160 iirc I reckon that Tamiya will pitch it at close to £200, but they "might" want to steal some HKM customers so it might be a bit of a price war, so who knows? For me I dont really care! as a simultanious BIV and FBVI duo build will look stellar on the bench don't you think........
  4. I too have recieved a second replacement, and I can't fault it. well done to Airfix for persevering.......
  5. It's from the Immortal British TV Comedy series Blackadder, in a particular episode he utters the word during a scene were he's feigning madness, I use it when I feel that I won't be able to resist the lure of anything to do with a Mossie......
  6. Very large space, come on guys what do you reckon? We'll know 11am UK time tomorrow......
  7. Oh! Golly! this is gonna cost me dear... https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=1501493336766953&id=1375731456009809
  8. In the immortal words of Mr E.Blackadder WIBBLE!!!!
  9. I had a little communication with an Airfix designer via a UK based Motoring website that I frequent, he relayed the following info regarding the IPMS SMW announcement We just told the ipms bloke we were making an announcement, he added on the "1/24th" bit all by himself! We have a shortlist of several potential subjects but haven't decided yet what the next superkit will be. So I don't even know! So it looks like the rumoured "big kit" is the Shackleton in 72nd... Or is it just another well crafted Airfix red herring?
  10. Brilliant Work on the Mossie Juhana, I must dig the one I started a few years back out of the stash, but it'll be a while yet as the big Tiffie is hitting the bench tomorrow.....
  11. Direct quote from the SWM wesite info Airfix will be announcing a large new model at 11:00 on Saturday at the SMW 2914, I am lead to believe that it will be in 1/24 scale. No mention of type.....
  12. An A4 Pacific in 24th would be stunning! yes I know it doesn't have wings, but she was a spry old thing, and after standing in the shadows of six of these beauties this year at "The Great Gathering" at the York National Railway Museum, it would certainly make a fantastic subject, another little get together that I attended this year was this at RAF Waddington a couple of weeks back.... And as I said "I know it doesn't have wings" but who couldn't resist a big Mallard?
  13. Just had a thought.... Stay with me on this as it's pretty thin....... Last Year we had the Typhoon in 24th Scale it was preceded by a lovely 72nd scale version........ Well earlier this year we got a new tool Lightning F2 followed pretty quickly by an F6 in 72nd Scale.......... Can you see were i'm going with this? OH! PLEASE MR AIRFIX MAKE IT A BIG FRIGHTNING!!!!
