Alouette 3 scale 1/7

I could stare at those pictures for hours and not even half of the details you've created there. What really impresses me is that you've been able to keep it functional (flyable) without any visible concession to detail. Are the dynamic (rotor head, tail rotor etc) components built from scratch too?

Can't wait to see more!

What the actual f#ck

that is modelling porn of the absolutely highest order - you are a very gifted modeller indeed and technically brilliant

I can't believe you would actually commit this masterpiece to flight - I could never live with the loss if something happened so could never even try

just unreal talent - thank you

Hi
Thank you all for your comments which I really appreciate.
I am interested for years the work that I see on the plastic models
of which there are many magnificent pieces on this forum
even if I have not yet taken a lot of time to see them all.
which can leave considerable space for personal construction and I am
particularly admiring of the magnificent painting work that we can see,
with all the aging techniques that very interested me.
I also made some plastic models a few years before
and I hope to be able to come back to them one day...
here is an imgur link where you can see some working techniques
about the manufacture of broom handles and rudder command and rubber protection
texts are in French sorry.

hi Craig

the mechanical part is an existing base which has been modified

a lot, the problem of the main and tail rotor and to find a good compromise which

once painted and decorated will be at the same time flyable and close to reality,

there is a model which corresponds quite well for the moment but im not a hurry

, I will not embark on this adventure trying doing myself

while pros have the machines and the experience, quality of hard steels difficult to

machine and also inability to completely scale this kind of parts for resistance

problems of the materials, another story of compromise......

I totally understand! I can't even begin to imagine the complexities of making and balancing your own custom rotor heads! What you have here looks very much to scale, especially considering once it's flying you won't be able to tell anyway!

Cracking stuff, I can't wait to see more!
