LSP_Kevin Posted June 11, 2021 Posted June 11, 2021 Howdy folks, This weekend (12 June 2021) we will be migrating LSP to a new server. This will require an indeterminate period of downtime, during which neither the forums nor the website will be accessible. While the server is down, any necessary communication regarding the migration will be done on the LSP Facebook page. I'll report here for as long as its practical or relevant, too. Wish me luck! Kev D Bellis, Anthony in NZ, Out2gtcha and 2 others 2 3
RLWP Posted June 11, 2021 Posted June 11, 2021 Is there anything we should do - put a paper bag over our heads perhaps? Good luck Kev Richard LSP_Kevin, LSP_Ron, Anthony in NZ and 2 others 2 3

chuck540z3 Posted June 11, 2021 Posted June 11, 2021 Good luck from me as well Kev. If it takes a long time and there's lots of issues, don't worry about it. We will always be back to the best modeling website out there, bar none. Cheers, Chuck chrish, Panzerwomble, Rainer Hoffmann and 5 others 7 1

LSP_Kevin Posted June 12, 2021 Author Posted June 12, 2021 Progress Report! At this stage I'm only about a quarter of the way through downloading all the site files, and I estimate this process will take at least another 30 hours to complete. And then I have to upload them all those same files to the new server. So, there's no way that process is going to be complete before the end of even my long weekend. This means that the cut-over to the new server is likely to happen no earlier than mid-week. I'll keep you all informed! Kev Landrotten Highlander, LSP_K2, TAG and 7 others 4 6
Trak-Tor Posted June 12, 2021 Posted June 12, 2021 Do we know which of Murphy's laws apply to this process? I guess there must be some... Thanks, Kev. Juraj LSP_Kevin and Ayovan 2
mozart Posted June 12, 2021 Posted June 12, 2021 Well done Kev, your efforts for us all are very much appreciated! Will the "new" server be more reliable than the present one do you think? LSP_Kevin and MikeC 2
