Hawkwrench
Thanks Pete. Plugging along and getting there. Waiting on some parts to come in from a guy so I can make the Huey seats that were installed behind the console that the commanders sat in. Hawkwrench
Finishing up the fuel tank straps and ratchets. I hate working with small PE using my sausage fingers. This made for a fun night. Tim Edited July 16, 2020 by Hawkwrench Squizzy 78, Fvdm, RadBaron and 21 others

Hawkwrench
After painting the survival kits Vallejo 70924 and adding the red to the straps, I glued the kits to the sides of the internal fuel tank where they should be on a MH-60L. I then added the final strap to the tank and now I'm calling this done! Real easy to use and cut using scissors. It came with the Tetra Model works Ratchet set (Type 1). Tim Uncarina and scvrobeson

scvrobeson
Those are cool. The straps really look right, and look much more natural than photo-etch could have. Matt
Hawkwrench
So tonight I decided to build up and paint the exhausts. I first painted the rear half Vallejo Model Air 77713 and the front half Vallejo Model Air 77703. For the burnt area in the middle, I used Tamiya Weathering Set D "Burnt Red". I've never used the sets before and man do I love them for weathering.
