  1. After finishing Colonial One from BSG I can continue with Butcherbird.

Seat walls are thinned and cushion is painted with Vallejo Wood & Leather set. Rudder pedals have straps now, there are also hip belts. Instrument panel is also near finishing. White liquid is Micro Kristal Clear.

Does anyone has "Captured Butcherbirds vol. 1" book and could scan for me one page from it?

two UV lights were placed on the lower part of the frame to illuminate the instrument panel.

These were only lights in cockpit? No backlighted buttons or instruments? I'm asking because I saw a mock up of FW190 cockpit with green lighted buttons and I don't know if it's right.

  3. Another problem - lights in and on FW-190

Of course, green and red on wings, white on rudder. Landing light on left wing. What about cockpit? I've read that FW-190 had two white lamps in cockpit but where? What about instruments, backlighted on fluorescent? Buttons were lighted in any way?

Cool, although you might not want to start it just yet...

Great but I have no chance to buy it in Poland at a reasonable price. Shipping will kill me and my wallet instantly :)

Great topic! If you can get the Eduard cockpit set I’d highly recommend it. Kangnam/Academy has ejector pin marks on the instrument panel, so this will need a little work. It’s buildable however; I built the Kangnam kit years ago.

    Cheers,  Tom

I will look for it but none of the hobby shops in Poland has it now.

The "strobe" anti-collision lights on aircraft are a very modern thing. In WW2 the navigation lights, red on left wingtip, green on right wingtip and white in the middle (on tail, or on rudder, and/or on fuselage spine/belly), were lit continuously.

Many thanks :) Constant lights will be much easier without need of programming :)

  7. Hello,

My knowledge when it comes to german WWII fighters is almost not existent so I have question about FW-190 A-8 lights.

Which lights of this famous fighter were constant and which were flashing? I suppose all of them were constant but I'm not sure.

    I bought 1/18 HB FW-190 and I want to make it more...interactive :)
