The rear engine faces are now glued into the surrounding engine bearers. There are brass pins and consecutive fitting brass tubes in the engine and rear faces, and fit fairly precisely together, so I just stuck the rears on the engines, got the engines where I needed them, then super glued the rear engine faces to the bearers. Once that was set, I utilized some JB Weld to make sure they stayed put. I left the engines on the bearers attached to the rear sections until the next day when the JB Weld was cured enough to do some heavy lifting to secure the rear engine faces.

In progress:

Engines now fit exactly where they need to fit in order to get the surrounding nacelles and cowls to fit where they need to be:

The nacelles still fit really nicely, and the engines fit well with or without the nacelles and with or without the cowls:

The cowls seem to fit decently at this stage, and seem like they might only need a bit of fettling to get them to fit very nicely:

Hopefully to be back on the big girl more this week/weekend.

Cheers

Thanks gents. She sure isn't making it easy!     I feel im creeping up on fewer and fewer really difficult projects within this project.

After I get the nacelles themselves secured (again using JB Weld to secure the nacelles since they will support a lot of the weight of the model) I will be starting the next (and hopefully last) really major obstacle that stands in the way. After that it will be more down to finishing applications of PE and paint/details ect.

Cheers all!
