airscale
Good evening, going on with the frames that go into the right fuselage shell. I made the right segment of frame 6. Dry fitting of the frame: Glued in place: That´s it for now ... Bye, Bernd. how the hell did you do that curved frame with a flange without using soft pewter or ali? I have tried & pretty much failed failed to make parts like that with flanged edges by pinching folds with flat nosed pliers, but yours look like they just came off a press.. mighty impressive stuff Peter sandokan, Derek B, Joel_W and 2 others
109
Hi Peter, my solution is to make a template from MDF. I lightly anneal those areas that will be formed around corners, e.g. the outer rim of the part shown. Happy modeling, Bernd. dodgem37
Nice capture. Inside riveting, too. Hope it shows with painting. It'd be a detail not often seen. Really good stuff, Bernd. 109
Good evening, some progress on the right fuselage shell... I added frame 5, the longitudinal U-profile, frame 3d and frame 2. Frame 5 has a large circular opening for the oxygen-shower. The U-profil runs along the top edge of the sideconsoles from frame 3d to frame 5: Frame 3d is quite simple. In front of frame 3 is frame 2 with four circular openings: Close-up of f5 and f6: F2 (dry fitting) with the openings for four electrial sockets/connectors: Bye for now, Bernd. 109
Hi, before I can make the pilot´s shoulder armor and the seat assembly I have to make the floor plating. I am working on the rear floor between frames 8 and 3A. The circular holes are for the fuel tank connections. Pictures show some dryfitting. Now it´s time to light the charcoal for a barbeque ... :-) Bye! patricksparks, Piprm, sandokan and 8 others
