  2. Five coats so far ! I'm concidering to cancel this build. It doesn't look right.
  3. VERY impressive and realistic exhaust stains @spyrosjzmichos. Except one thing: on wartime Jugs, those outlets were not exhausts but the waste gates for the turbo, therefore NO staining whatsoever. On restored planes like the one on your reference pics, they left off the turbo and used the outlets as gas exhaust, hence the extensive staining. Far from being a P-47D expert, I learned this during the building of my first MiniArt 1/48 kit and thought I’d share it with you. Cheers, Quang
  4. Wow.. the weathering on the underside is some of the best I have ever seen. Very impressive work Niels
  5. By far the most complex set was the corrected variramp and accurately sized air intakes! That was a nightmare that took me two months of evenings to get correct and symetrical parts! Never again!!!
  6. Kevin: E-mails sent with some information. HTH Mark Proulx
  7. Help! I would like to build the doghouse as true to the original as possible. Unfortunately, I don't have a drawing of the 70° inclined front former 3. I also have no drawings of 3B upper and 3A lower. (red markings) Who can help ?? Cheers Thomas
  8. Thanks! Harold did the nose. I made the rest!
  9. The wiper was part of the conversion. I did it to help Harold.
  10. My photos are a lot larger. But for one reason or another I am not able to link the images from imgBB in a way to have them expandable to full size. Using the "BB code", full image, not preview, but well, but with results is as shown above. If someone is more familiar with imgBB and has an advice? Regards - dutik
  11. Today
  12. A bit of WW1 aviation: Small scale: Has someone here with a Felixstowe stash the balls to build THIS row in LSP size? And an interwar behemoth. He is just large in it's own way: Enjoy! - duitk
  13. Here's a link for a tutorial I made a couple of years ago. https://mpminiatures.wordpress.com/2021/06/21/how-i-photograph-scale-models/ If you find that it is not clear in any part of it, please give me that feedback so I can improve it and make it as clear as possible. I hope you find it useful. Cheers
  14. Thank you Geedubelyer and Boris! Håkan
  15. Hey, that's fun! - Dennis S. Mount Juliet, TN USA
  16. That's a great result with that old kit. We have one of these flying at Shuttleworth (which is a matter of a few miles from Tempsford). It looks a funny bird, but in the air it is extremely nimble.

  18. I would love to get the A-4C wiper kit. I have built one A-4C and I am currently building another.
  19. Oh me, oh my that looks good Spyros! I think your technique is the most convincing I have seen. What a choice of subject too! Kind regards, Paul
  20. let's leave aside the discussion about the coloring of the figures, it is an art in itself that only makes me anxious... and in general, also for this reason, I avoid populating the cockpits of my models. but here I think it fits very well, it immediately gives an idea of the gargantuan proportions of this plane compared to whoever was piloting it. well done, Mike!
  21. Spyro, your work on fumes and weathering in general is some of the most interesting I've ever seen. Particularly impressive on the NM surfaces, a truly spectacular achievement!
  22. That's a really sweet looking kit! Very tempting to break my "prop fighters are 1:32" rule and pick one up. Especially intrigued that Eduard are now doing "wet transfer" style decals. That should work beautifully for your planned NMF bird.
  23. Been very busy with the garden and work (the usual excuses). I've decided to park the Kinetic kit until some real in-theatre photos of Ukrainian vipers appear (that will definitely motivate me to get that one completed). Focusing on the Tamiya kit I'm trying to get ready to start painting. Masked off the LG bays: The canopy came with a nice big mould seam down the middle of it, so I spent some time scraping and polishing that out. I think I'm going to take a "black base" approach to painting this one, so the next step will be priming with Black Mr. Surfacer. Maybe I will get to that before I leave for vacation next week.
  24. Time, maybe - but not the money! Kev
