BradG
I started this more than several years ago and just kinda burned out on it I think. I've done most of the hard work, I think I lost interest trying to rescribe some of the detail that had to be sanded away. I think I'll build one of the Syrian machines, I'm not sure if they mounted the 20mm in the wings or not, but they're already installed and I'm quite happy with the work I did on them. Here's how it currently looks. Edited September 22, 2017 by BradG Alain Gadbois, R Palimaka, Rick Griewski and 4 others

dennismcc
A nice looking aircraft and a "challenging" kit but you seem to have done all the hard work already. Cheers Dennis mpk and BradG

Rick Griewski
An elegant aircraft for sure. A Syrian livery is indeed intreging. Rick mpk and BradG
DeanKB
PCM kits should come with a tube of filler & plenty of sandpaper. A big tube.
Thomas Lund
PCM kits should come with a tube of filler & plenty of sandpaper. A big tube. Dont think it that bad... I've done 3 and actually loved doing them. I found that a quick once over with sandpaper on the mating surfaces gave a good fit - not tamiya, but allright Good choice Brad - will look forward to it mpk, Rick Griewski and BradG
Troy Molitor
Nice choice Brad. I have the same bird with panel line pre shaded 80% completed. I noticed a different dihedral in the left and right wing and put it back on the shelf of Dooooooooom! Ha. Hats off too you man. . Getter done. mpk
Now crack a beer, and get scribing man! THOR So, this aeroplane had wavy and confused panel lines? Good luck! Great subject. BradG and Shaka HI
wunwinglow
Very pretty aircraft. I've seen several of these kits built into impressive models. I'm sorely tempted to get another Spit XIV.... BradG
MikeMaben
Hey Brad, just grabbed one of these, looks good in the box, nice resin interior. (just an fyi), the Syrian machines were post war constructed G-55As and had 12.7 mm guns in the wings. Have fun BradG

Have fun Yeh I didn't think they used the 20's, but I've already put them on so I'll live with it. MikeMaben
Steve Eagle
Keep plugging away on this. I've built it and was very impressed overall with it. There is a good book that discusses all the varied camo schemes that was used by the ANR- however, I can't get to it due to a recent move. I think D'Amico was one of the authors. BradG
Alright, with my Beaufighter finished I can turn onto this one. I did some rescribing and sanding tonight, along with gluing on the horizontal stabs, which kinda fit. They will need some more cleaning up. I've also installed the radiator.
