BradG Posted September 15, 2017 Author Posted September 15, 2017 (edited) Phwoarrr Brad, awesome precision at any level - not to mention using home cut masks! I'm impressed. Jim Thanks Jim. My little 10 dollar compass cutter has come in mighty handy over the years. Edited September 15, 2017 by BradG sandokan and Out2gtcha 2
Out2gtcha Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 Thanks Jim. My little 10 dollar compass cutter has come in mighty handy over the years. Haha, that is the EXACT circle cutter I have on the bench atm BradG 1
ClumsyDude Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 I have the Olfa one ... it's essential! Jim BradG 1
BradG Posted September 17, 2017 Author Posted September 17, 2017 Under carriage and prop are now on. I'm not entirely happy with how the gear legs and doors sit, the right one has a little twist in it and the under carriage doors I found didn't fit well. I ended up cutting them down a little to fit. They look ok, not perfect but I can live with it. I'll just put it on the middle shelf in the cabinet so I don't see the gear that much lol. LSP_Kevin, MikeMaben and sandokan 3
BradG Posted September 20, 2017 Author Posted September 20, 2017 A quick gloss coat and the star decals applied. I think they are little small, but they don't look very large in the pictures I've seen, so they'll look fine. Just waiting for the future to dry on them then it's onto the weathering. Dukie99 Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 Looking great. A very unique set of markings for an aircraft you do not see built often, will definitely stand out in the crowd. David BradG 1
BradG Posted September 22, 2017 Author Posted September 22, 2017 Ok I got cracking with this and decided to finish it. I will try for some better pictures with more light over the weekend. LSP_Kevin, Shaka HI, sandokan and 3 others 6
Out2gtcha Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 Wow, great work Brad! That looks really good. Not a scheme you ever see. Well done BradG 1
BradG Posted September 22, 2017 Author Posted September 22, 2017 I got my other camera working with a flash, so here's some pictures with a little more light. MikeMaben, Shaka HI, dennismcc and 2 others 5
dennismcc Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 Looks great a fine job and very unusual markings, I bet you are glad you did it now. Cheers Dennis BradG 1
BradG Posted September 22, 2017 Author Posted September 22, 2017 (edited) Looks great a fine job and very unusual markings, I bet you are glad you did it now. Cheers Dennis I am indeed. It was also a rather expensive kit for me to buy at the time as well, as our dollar was at a low against the US dollar, so it cost me over 100 bucks. Far too much to bin or have sitting on the SoD. Out2gtcha Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 I picked one of these up for a relative song at the US NATs back in July. Other than you average short run kit issues, it seems like a really nice kit. BradG 1
Shaka HI Posted September 23, 2017 Posted September 23, 2017 Good to see this finished, Brad! Looks fantastic! BradG 1
Daniel460 Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Excellent work Brad! Very neat warbird and unusual markings.... Dan BradG 1
