I'll probably be leaning on you a bit for my new project since I know so little of Allied aircraft. Oh you know I look forward to helping when/if I can. You have certainly helped me. Man what an outstanding Dora! Thunnus 1

I've made some interpretive choices regarding the camo scheme so it may not align with other builds or color profiles of this plane. That collection seems about 100% complete, and very few are of poor enough quality that they cannot be read (sometimes a problem when trying to reproduce very old micro-filmed drawings). If this is the first time you have seen engineering drawings and their system of component parts and used-on assemblies, and effectivity blocks, and other important elements of drawings, then it can be confusing. I am so willing to help if you need it. It's "right in my wheelhouse". Thunnus 1
baffozac Posted December 20, 2022 Posted December 20, 2022 Hello, about the drop tank, I had sent photos of mine and a plan to Eagle but it was misinterpreted. In fact, the weld is not on the side but underneath. That said, your Dora is fabulous! Cheers ! Alain Thunnus and daHeld 1 1

chuck540z3 Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Look at that burned look of exhaust gasses over the cowlings. Awesome! Cheers, Chuck

And I've ordered some GX113 to check out as well. Last bits are being added onto the model. The landing gear legs have been glued into place. The tail wheel also. I'm using JB Kwik Weld 2-part epoxy to attach the wheels to the main landing gear legs. It's thickish like toothpaste and starts to hard in about 5 minutes, giving me time to orient the flat spots on the tires correctly. The little IFF antenna, the DF loop antenna and the boarding ladder are attached now. The ETC rack and drop tank are held in place with friction so I'm not going to glue them in place. She's nearing the finish line! Question: what diameter rod/wire did you use for the small straight aerial that is aft of the DF loop? is it the same diameter as the wire used under the port wing? Hello! The small IFF antenna was made with stretched sprue, not wire. It's springy so it doesn't bend if it gets deflected like wire would. I glue the antenna to the bottom of the kit part and then snip off the kit antenna portion, leaving the base and the new antenna. Victor K2, Landrotten Highlander, Shoggz and 1 other 4
