Yeah, I bought a similar unit to make it easier to deal with metric. I have a dial caliper which I've had for two score and .........  I got tired of the conversion work between inches and mm. And I'm sure the digital unit cost way less than the original unit.

I wanted to grab a Starrett, but they're just too darn pricey for my budget, and probably overkill anyway. These seem very well made though, so I'm a happy guy.

Yet another kit landed today (must be a coincidence). This is very special to me. I built this car many, many years ago as a young lad (the '65 AWB Mustang GT), and have been wanting to build a tribute to it for quite a while, so now I finally can. Here's hoping this new one turns out much better than the old.

The VP and I, treasurer for our IPMS club used 2 hours to wander through our LHS to buy various models for our Christmas raffle.    What fun.   We ended up 12 kits of various subjects. The rules were variety and recent releases only.  Life is good.  My face still hurts from smiling.

I remember reading this book in college in the mid 80's. So when I saw it at a flea market, I picked it up for a re-read. Then of course, I saw the kit at my local shop and had to get it as well. Should be fun as I've never actually built a Stuka before in any scale and the Hasegawa kit has good reviews.

Always wanted to build his “kite” with that chunk of pine tree wedged into the leading edge of the wing.

there had to be some really close calls doing that kind of dive bombing attack.

ya, it’s a good read

Sorry, but I'm really into some cars right now, a phase that comes and goes with me.
