nmayhew Posted January 13, 2020 Posted January 13, 2020 Looks beautiful as always, but is that drop tank on back to front? LSP_K2, Tolga ULGUR, TenSeven and 1 other 4
discus Posted January 13, 2020 Posted January 13, 2020 I have a doubt: it looks like the fuel tank is on the wrong direction Overwise, really nice built, congrats Tolga ULGUR 1
Kagemusha Posted January 13, 2020 Posted January 13, 2020 Very impressive, sometimes they put the drop tanks on the wrong way round. Tolga ULGUR 1

Tolga ULGUR Posted January 14, 2020 Author Posted January 14, 2020 Thanks I was willing to built Joanne when I saw first the box art of the old Eduard s kit years ago. It was impossible to find its decals in 1/32. In the end I could get them as customized decals from customhobbydecals. You can see also wrong direction drop tank of Joanne on Eduard s box art and also old version of squadron signal p-40 book s front cover. Happy modelling daveculp, Trak-Tor, TenSeven and 1 other 4
Lothar Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 You build terrific models - this one included - faster than I can open a kit and go through the contents !! Another beauty from you. Lothar Tolga ULGUR 1

Another beauty from you. Lothar Thanks Lothar As a matter of the fact I am not too fast. This built was started months ago. Due to problem on skulls decal stopped for a while. After getting new skull decals re started and finished. Regards Lothar 1

And the reversed drop tank is a nice touch. daveculp and Tolga ULGUR 2
Patrick HMD Posted January 16, 2020 Posted January 16, 2020 I'm thinking, and this is just me thinking, that the drop tank was purposely reversed to reduce aerodynamic drag. If so, not sure if it would have made that much difference. Tolga ULGUR 1
Trak-Tor Posted January 17, 2020 Posted January 17, 2020 Another fantastic looking P-40. Congratulations! Juraj Tolga ULGUR 1
red Dog Posted January 17, 2020 Posted January 17, 2020 (edited) aha, love the detail about the tank, that's so funny. Enter it in a contest and let's see how the judges react Great model !! Edited January 17, 2020 by red Dog daveculp and Tolga ULGUR 1 1
