Which is the best trumpy kit? Prop + jet?

The Avenger was my first shot  at a 1/32 kit and it was fantastic.  I've got it on my radar to do another one because the kit was such a joy to build.  I found the cowl fit on the Dauntless (-3/4 in my case) to be extremely fiddly and poorly engineered.  Their Wildcat kit is cheap, easy, and fun to build.

Having "started" 3 Trumpeter kits, A-7D, F-8E and kit bashing 2 F-100Ds into a F-100F all have shape issues, way over done and inconstant surface detail and some fit issues.

However, they are all buildable if you've willing to go the extra mile or two.

I think that Karl's final statement speaks to Trumpeter's real strength.

A lot have already mentioned the Intruder.  I built the A version and it went together very well.  The only thing really lacking is the cockpit but it doesn't look too bad once it's all built up.  I also like the TBM Avenger, it fits together nicely but it was attacked by the rivet monster...

I haven’t built the A-6 but from looking at the kit and researching online it’s seems superb. Surface detail is outstandingly fine and accuracy is good. Only issue is the wing fence location, which is an easy fix.

Now ie back to the Trumpeter F-14 :-/
