Jan_G
not sure if it was mentioned on the forum but there is new small company from Ukraine doing several wheels sets in 1/32 one difference is that they consist from resin and rubber tires. jan http://scalemodels.ru/news/13798-Halberd-Models.html Model_Monkey, D.B. Out2gtcha
They do look really nice. It appears no middle seam to deal with too, which is 1/2 the battle with real rubber tires. The other 1/2 is a flat/weighted spot. Its significantly tougher IMHO to get rubber tires weighted. Woody V, mpk, Harold and 1 other
D.B. Andrus
Anyone figured out how to actually order from them? I've translated their pages, but still at a loss. Help?

The third 1/2 of the problem is weathering them, although I have had some success with pigments. Hard to get anything to reliably stick to the rubber. Might give a set a try just out of curiosity. Would love to see someone try this for WWI aircraft with natural, light colored rubber. Out2gtcha

Reuben L. Hernandez
Interesting, I would like to try at least one set to see what their all about, but they look good to my eye. Wonder if they will ever get a US distributor?

I know I'm in a minority amongst "serious" modellers, but I much prefer rubber vinyl. Natural sit, no awkward hub painting. Easy. Smart. Let the model do the flattening. Please, please, please Halberd, make these for the Tamiya 1/32 Mosquito Tony Woody V and D Bellis

Please, please, please Halberd, make these for the Tamiya 1/32 Mosquito Tony I agree, but only if the rubber tires are hollow and allow for natural bulging. Most rubber wheels I've experienced are solid, and don't bow out at all unfortunately. - Dennis S. Thornton, CO USA Out2gtcha

Because AMT/ERTL botched them 25 years ago, doesn't mean that it's ALL bad.... Although seam-lines ARE a hassle...! Rick Griewski
