BloorwestSiR
Picked up a couple items recently. First up is something a bit silly but perfect for enjoying with my boys. I was on the other side of town checking out a new job and stopped in at the LHS afterwards and found this for a great price. Guess I'll be doing a G conversion at some point after all. Lastly, this arrived earlier from Peter Pools. So thanks Peter for letting me cross another off the bucket list. Out2gtcha
Well, Upon opening and inspecting the kit, a couple inital things jump out at me, prior to even going over the kit in detail like I will still need to do prior to my IB review: - HpH now has a set of paper/written instructions included with the kit. - (This ones for Dean) The "resin pool" that HpH uses in place of traditional pouring blocks (at least from first glance) is now substantially thinner. Like a full order of magnitude thinner. Very similar to the resin "flash" one might see on a part that should be an opening, but is covered over with a super thin layer of resin that can normally be broken out by hand. - HpHs resin seems a bit more smooth, than the last time I build an HpH kit (my Walrus) and also seems to be a different color? Im thinking HpH may have changed the resin they use all together, but cant be sure on that. MUCH more later, as I will be doing an IB review for LSP on this gorgeous machine. Stay tuned! mark31, Rick Griewski, Leaning_Dog and 2 others
Winnie
Here is the addition to the Kitty Hawk OV-10A that my wife picked up at the mailbox for me while I am 3000 KM away at work... Obviously need to get the seat as well, from AMS, but this stash will make me happy for a while! TorbenD
Christmas happened early this year - look what Santa just brought me. This will be my first resin kit and a very quick peek inside says this will be worth every single penny...
