Javlin1 Posted January 26 Posted January 26 I got both kits including shipping from Japan for cheaper than the F4 stateside with shipping. MikeC, Kagemusha, TankBuster and 10 others 13
Rick Griewski Posted January 27 Posted January 27 K2! Over 8 pound of Tiger tank kit! Does the kit support multiple variants, multiple types of track? The das Werk ‘251 kit with the PAK 40 I am building has three types of track, 2 front end engine hoods, 5 armor window configurations and the PAK 40 (just like specified on the box). The kit also contains all the parts to make the first release. All the unused track, various configurations, storage bins, 3 extra crew benches, weapons, floor is different. These add up to 3 1/2 pounds. The extra MG 42 will be used with the Marder conversion. LSP_K2 1
LSP_Mike Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I saw some nice 16th armor at Winterblitz this weekend. Tempting, but I need a couple ships first. LSP_K2 and Rick Griewski 2

I'm hesitant to pull the parts from the box out of fear I'll never get them all back in, as there are a zillion parts. Rick Griewski, BloorwestSiR and Smokey 1 2
LSP_Mike Posted January 27 Posted January 27 If you can, find an old copy of Modellers Guide to the Tiger. Good reference. LSP_K2 1
dennismcc Posted February 9 Posted February 9 As I am a 100% enamel user the closing of Sovereign Colourcoats made me think about checking out other sources of paint, I know that Colourcoats are being resurected but I thought that I would investigate another make that I heard about on another forum. So I ordered some paint sets from ARCUS in Ukraine and they duly arrived today, so on my next Italian build I will give them a try. Cheers Dennis Alex, Rick Griewski, Martinnfb and 4 others 6 1

The options include, from memory, allow the different mantlets and other details to build slight variations of early Tiger I, including standard and command version. It only includes the early, uncleated, version of the tracks of the reversible type (NOT the very early mirrored track). IIRC, it has both the early and later version of the Fiefel air cleaners. Basically, it has the production improvements over the life of the early Tiger I, but no options for anything mid Tiger I. You would have to go get the AFV Modeller conversion set, or buy the Trumpeter mid Tiger I. For references, also check out https://tigerI.info , including the page for Andy's Tiger I. LSP_K2 Posted February 19 Author Posted February 19 In keeping with my recent 1:16 obsession, I finally sprung for this kit (again). Had one once, sold it, and have regretted that for years now. This one will not be sold off. Shoggz, Javlin1, TankBuster and 5 others 8
dutik Posted February 21 Posted February 21 My compressor was 15+ years old and The real King of Splatter. Time for a new one. Same type, and same price as 15+ years ago! I don't complain Regards - dutik TankBuster, coogrfan, Martinnfb and 2 others 5
thierry laurent Posted February 22 Posted February 22 At last... after more than ten years of search I finally found one of the very last books I was still looking after: https://www.amazon.com/Mikoyan-MiG-21-Famous-Russian-Aircraft/dp/1857802578 The big Midland Publications MiG-21 Book written by Yefim Gordon is OOP since 2008 and I never found it for less than 500 euros and typically prices are even far higher! 😱 I got it for 200£ plus p&p and fees. Surely not cheap when you consider the initial price was around 60£ or 80€ but I seriously doubt I could find one for a cheaper price and for whatever reason it is alas amongst the books never reprinted by Crecy. It should arrive soon! So, this leaves me with a single British book missing link on my list: the Crecy Luftwaffe Classic Publications about the V2! Far more recent but quite difficult to find as well. At last this one 'could' be reprinted as it is from the publishing digital era. 🤞 TankBuster, scvrobeson, coogrfan and 4 others 7

Also the 23/27 and the Mig-25 book, which is listed now at Amazon for whopping 1.300+ Euros... Didn't know I am a rich man now Regards - dutik LSP_K2 1
