Dandiego
Hubert and Phil, how right you are. I saw the shape issues as well. Basic problem is that I made the cross section of the intake throat too small. Dang it! I am already formulating a repair stategy. Stay tuned. NORMCO
Have to agree with MostlyRacers. The bottom of the intakes are OK. The top is too "fat" and "hooked." Harold
Lee White
I think some judicious sanding with a file will fix that, and a dowel with sandpaper around it will induce that concave profile. Chin up, Dan, 3 steps forward 1/2 step back.
dodgem37
Fantastic work, Dan. Love what you've done. Sincerely, Mark
Joel_W
Dan, After seeing what you've been able to accomplish, I have no doubt that you'll have a proper fix for those intakes. Still, your work is just world class compared to my mostly OOB builds. Joel Hubert Boillot and Harold
Dandiego
Well I am sure that fix will be more than just a file and some sandpaper. My plan is to remove the existing intake trunking from the bottom, and then re-install new trunking to create a larger intake mouth. That in my opinion is the root of the problem. I have all weekend so I should be able to get at least one side done. Dan Edited February 6, 2017 by Dandiego Harold, Piprm and NORMCO

I have a couple I started on years ago laying around, I might dig one out someday and finish it. Unfortunately they are in the wrong scale..LOL Keep up the good work. Dandiego
Ok re-doing the intakes. In the first photo I have ripped out the top intake. Next enlarge the opening and add a larger back plate. Next install new intake trunking. Bondo Time... Sanding time. Also I have reinstalled the spine. In my opinion a much better result this time. Now all I have to do is do the same thing on the other side. Dan sandokan, MikeMaben, airscale and 3 others
