Out of curiosity, are you using the same stuff Peter is using? 


I use both .005 annealed and non-annealed aluminum sheet. 
 

I use the annealed for the wrinkly skin panels typical to the T-38, and the non for the tight skin (like on the horizontal slabs)

and yes I invented some new combinations that I’m particularly proud of-

 

getting the metal to form around that cone shape without breaking the resin underneath was a bear. I am hypoxic from holding my breath all day-

they were both snoring on the floor of my shop the whole time.

what is funny about them is they have an incredibly accurate internal clock. I literally felt two wet noses at 1800.
