Awful news, May he rest in peace and my condolences to you and your family.
A great loss to the hobby and those around him.

I'm REALLY excited by this kit although, however much I want a 1/32 Jaguar, 399 euros is a little rich for my blood.
Also how far are the nose and wing LE off? if paying top dollar one would want a top kit!

Add to the fact that Jetmads is a "cottage" industry when compared to the likes of the major manufacturers so yes, their batch sale method obviously works for them without over extending their investment.
Lets face it, one wrong choice of subject could easily floor the company as a whole.
As for quality, feedback suggests that this is on an upward trajectory and again, to that end, given the amount of money I have sent their way, I am prepared to wait for the product to be released when it is right rather than rushed out to satisfy the impatient, a strategy which can also ruin a company.

Just as a matter of interest, has anyone seen the new Viggen releases? Some really interesting schemes amongst them.

Sad news. An announcement made even more frustrating by the lack of engagement from Dassault Aviation to try and achieve a mutually benificial outcome.
They probably have their reasons of which we will never know, made even stranger especially as companies like Kitty Hawk have the Mirage 2000 kits in the wild.
Could I possibly interest you in a 1/32 BAC Jaguar project?

I don't get it.
I get that helicopters have been produced predominantly in 1/35 (with exceptions) because they can be placed in dioramas with the readily available armour stowage and equipment ( fuel barrels etc, but aircraft are a slightly different story for some reason.
1/35 was Tamiya's fault, will the same happen with Borders aircraft releases? this is yet to be seen.
There is not a huge difference between 35th and 32nd so why not keep things in the aircraft world consistent? its the equivalent of someone producing a 1/13th armour subject.
As I say, I don't get it.

All of the amazing builds on here just go to show what a talented bunch of folk we really are and as a result I'm really going to cheat on this thread.
So many of my builds have been really enjoyable for many different reasons so to that end Im going to post up three of my favourite builds.
1. Jetmads Viggen, cos its a Viggen!
Excuse the Photography and background.
HK Lancasters x2, well x3 actually . Im particularly proud that these builds, completed in conjunction with Sully of Sully's scale models (vehicles), and Pete Crowther of the Cosford Museum (figures) the diorama was initially on display at the RAF museum Cosford before moving to its new permanent home with the Boscombe Down collection at Old Sarum.
The B1/111 was the first test shot from HK built in 5 weeks without instructions or markings, she carries the serials of a 97 Squadron aircraft in which my very close friends father was a Merlin mechanic and fitter. I built her back in 2018 just in time for Telford As Neil wanted a built and painted example and I was the lucky recipient for which I'm always grateful. Shes since been replaced in the Diorama by a B1 special complete with Grand Slam. The Dambuster and Grand Slam Lancs were both tested at Boscombe Down.
My most recent completion has been the superb HPH C47 modelled as a British Dakota. She's marked up as KG 314 which towed the Horsa "Churchills Revenge" (also my build in the background) into Battle on D-Day (I dont just throw these together you know! )
The C 47 wasn't quite finished but is shown on the LSP /32 nd SIG table at Telford A challenge of a build, there are mistakes but i'm not going to show you where !
Keep up the great work everyone.

Tolga, a superb build in every respect. The feedback is great and bodes well for the forthcoming kit and Peter, you should be congratulated on applying your engineering skills so effectively to a great subject.
Im looking forward to the kits release!

I cant believe that it was over 16 years ago that the Trumpeter Jag first broke cover and its not been considered since, what with the advancement of moulding and resin casting / 3d printing in the meantime.
Ill hover round the Profi24 release but not commit as ive got loads of stuff to build yet but if a reasonably priced Jag breaks cover then great, in the meantime, ill save my pennies.

OOOH hello beautiful!

Hi Peter,
Might be worth reaching out to Spud Murphy and the four corners guys, they seem to be well up on trends in the 1/16 world, also may be worth speaking with David Parker as to any gaps that may require plugging.
Takoms Jeep kit in its various guises might be a starter for 10 in terms of subject matter but then what would I know?

Thanks to Dave, Roy and Mike for their outstanding efforts at Telford this year - great to hear that the show was a resounding success, and that LSP was so well represented. The "Chips of Acknowledgement" (I'm sure there's a better name for them than that) seem to have also been a success. I'd love to get over there myself some day!
Kev
And you would be most welcome Kev!

I think the exchange was simply an acknowledgment of your presence.
It was soooooo busy!

Finally caught my breath after last weekend running between the West Midlands Police and 32nd SIG stands.
A great show all round which now feels like its back to its pre pandemic levels of attendance.
New for this year were the 32nd SIG / LSP Poker chips which were given to outstanding LSP qualifying builds on club tables rather than competition entries.
The general idea was to start conversations about the builds specifically and to garner increased interest in LSP /32nd SIG in general.
I have to say that they were greeted with a positive reaction with several recipients who were absent from the tables when they were awarded, coming over to the SIG stand to thank us and have a chat.
Not my idea, as according to several modelling podcasts, it seems to be a thing in the US mainly so I thought we could try it over here. I'm pleased to say it worked.
Anyhoo a great show with a superb standard of builds and lots of friendly chat. when I get 5 ill pop a few photos up if I can remember my Photo host login.
Finally a big thank you from Mike Roy and myself to all the LSP'ers at Telford for supporting the stand and making it such a great show. Here's to next year.

I plan to be there on the Saturday only and will certainly get to the 32 Sig/LSP stand, hoping to meet lots of fellow members
. I’m not in the IPMS so will be coming in with all the riff raff. In which case, if I do bring some something along for the stand, how does that work….just come along and plonk it on the stand with a few accompanying details?
That’s pretty much it, and yes 11.00 Saturday sounds grand!

If that were the case Pete, then we would recognise each other immediately anyway because we’d all be walking funny!

Sad News Chris, I've had both the Flanker and A7 correction sets off you in the past and they are nothing but top quality work. but health is everything in this life so the decision is absolutely understandable.
I thank you for starting the venture in the first place an wish you all the very best for the future.

Its all a little confusing to me and I ask would anyone buy a 1/37 scale Sherman if one were released?
I cant believe that the choice of 1/35 is driven purely by Diorama integration with armour but then what would I know.
On the other hand, I get the discussion around new improved kits, even on subjects that have already been covered, and therefore view it as an expansion to the hobby in improving choice, HOWEVER, while I may fancy having a crack at the 111 as it does look good, 1/35 doesn't really blow my skirt up as there are no subjects released yet that i'm really interested in.
I do hope these releases are successful as more choice shows the hobby is far from dying, and in time, there may be something for me but in general i'll l be holding on to my hard earned at least until i see some of the 111's reviewed and, who knows, built.

The thing is that 1:35 figures can easily fit into a 1:32 diorama (with a little artistic licence) as people vary in size, so they're just on the small side. But I'm unashamedly "scaleist" in terms of aircraft as I want a constant scale across my LSPs. YMMV.
absolutely agree BUT we are not the ones making business decisions. I would like to think that there is some business acumen as to why border chose 1/35 and why release subjects already covered in 1/32 (accuracy aside).
Of course there is no law that dictates aircraft should be produced in 32nd, rather, it is an accepted scale for aircraft as opposed to the "tamiya" introduced scale of 1/35 for armour.
Question, would armour modellers be buying a 1/37 scale Sherman if anyone released one?
