I would love one but I'm afraid of the price. I would not be surprised seeing that one above 800€...

I didn't like the looks of the spinner on Italeri's Mc.202 and picked this item up from Aircraft in Pixels.  This thing is awesome.  He has other 202 accessories as well, also  Spitfire and WWI 3D prints...

The main difference will be the way the top of the fairing mates to whatever fuselage you're using.I had the Douglas drawings for the AD-5W which I used to create the parts in my kit.I don't know if that information is on the hard drive that escaped the fire with me but I will take a look later today and if I've got it you're welcome to it.

There are other major differences , the entire cockpit and cabin as well as the aft cabin cover and a hatch built into the belly where the dive brake used to be.If you plan on fitting out the after cabin be prepared for a lot of work.

3D printing a copy of the kit radome hollow like the resin parts would be best, it will get very heavy otherwise.

    hi all,
here is my interpretation of the CR42 CN visible in a film from the time of the Luce institute, from which I started to create the beautiful ICM kit.
apart from a few implemented/scratchbuilt details, the dedicated Eduard set 32979 and the installation of some nanoleds, it's OOTB, perfect in shape and fit. predominantly MRP colours.

    Hi gentlemen
This is my last construction, something different today ... this is the Wessex  HU 5 from Fly.... the kit is a "short term", the plastic is thick, the engraving is sometimes "soft", especially the multitude of small holes supposed to represent the rivets (they are raised on the real machine) but no matter that works, we have some nice resin parts ( cockpit consoles , rotor head , wheels etc ....)The decals are thin and nice , for 4 different colorful helos .. The instruction sheet is .....not clear , and I dare to say "messy" , ... But stop chatting, there is a complete review of the kit here....... Well, don’t expect a very detailed construction like "Shark 64 did it here some time ago, I’m nowhere near as skillful as he... My main improvement is in the cargo cabin. there is a lack of detail inside, and God knows this area is " occupied," so I scratch built it, and too bad if nothing will be seen afterwards..... I put some raised rivets here and there on some hatches, panels and so on, especially around the windscreen, for a more pleasing effect, I added some "pipes" along the fuselage on both sides , the rotor head needs more details , a good picture is very useful because of this complex area ........ what else ??, the paint scheme is not provided, but it's nothing, I just painted a big D on the fuselage, the decals are from the kit...... Is it perfect ???? no , but despite some issues , it was a cool trip ......so enjoy ....or not thanks for watching

Stefano reacted to europapete in A shout out for Proper Plane
Hi Guys, A while ago I ordered a wooden propeller and 3D seat for my CSM Caudron G3.  They arrived in good time ( considering they had to be made to order and then add on Ukraine's situation) over here to the U.S.  Shipping was around two weeks. Not bad as Hannants takes 8-10 days with no war zone issues, which is all down to the Post Office, NOT Hannants.
What can I say. Proper Plane has done an AWESOME job with this.  The propeller is very well made. An ultra smooth finnish, a nice satin varnish, the blades are even, equal, no variation between them. The wood grain is tiny, not overscale.
I have bought other props from them before, ( Gotha G4, AEG G4) Oh, yes, on the AEG set ( two props) The set I ordered represents the well known photo with the whales mouth decor. This plane has two different props fitted. Proper Plane represents this perfectly. Two accurately different props. Just look at the photos, then look at the props. 'Nuff said.
If you need a propeller for your WW1 masterpiece, just do it.
On the seat, same accolades. Way better than CSM's kit seat. (and that is good!)
The reason to upgrade an already good kit seat is that the rear seat that this represents is very open to view and is wicker built. The Proper Plane version represents the wicker construction much better/finer than the kit seat, is thinner in the walls, and much better defined.
No, this is not an advert. Just a happy customer letting you all know about a good supplier.

Stefano reacted to Dandiego in Recce Voodoo
Alright, have a look at what arrived on my doorstep today.

About a week ago our fellow member Scjh unveiled his ambitious Voodoo project. It has been meet with an enthusiastic response. We have been corresponding for several months regarding his triple threat project. F-101A, RF-101A/C and F-101B. I have been asking about his timeline as I was anxious about when he might begin production and begin releasing completed kits. His work is still progressing, and he doesn't have a firm release schedule as of yet.

With all that in mind I asked him if he could possibly send me an RF fuselage. He said yes, details were worked out,  and today it arrived. My plan is to marry his fuselage to my old Combat Models Vac wings. Should be interesting and super fun. Since this is still a work in progress for Scjh I will be adding lots of details of my own. Maybe even a few Dandiego designed parts. Sit down, strap in and hold on!

Here are some photos of what I received. Remember this is a work in progress and Scjh will be making corrections and additions as time goes on.

First I have to say that I am very impressed with the size and shape of this baby. Looking forward to getting things started. But since I have several builds in progress this one will move a little more slowly  until I get a few other projects finished.

I also have parts for the horizontal tail.

    Thanks, Dan

The 1/32 Dragon /Revell re-box is a great kit and an absolute steal for what is in the box. Also, they are frequently featured in 'Sale' listings.

It is a true enigma however why they never did the 'G' Night-fighter version which would probably (IMHO) have been the most popular variant of them all. I doubt however that we will ever see it from that set of moulds now though.

Stefano reacted to Dennis7423 in HK Models Bristol Beaufighter?
Okay, so let's talk about what we know: The scanner was most definitely scanning the Beaufighter.

Having used FARO scanners often in my previous job as a crime scene investigator, I can tell you that the scanner is effective in about a 15-25 foot radius around the unit. It takes somewhere in the realm of 30,000 photos per cycle, and recreates them into a dome of photos that you can then navigate on a computer as if you where were. You move it around what you're scanning to get various angles and all the nooks and crannies, then tie the scans together in a computer program, and viola, a perfect 3D, using photos, depicting of your object. You can also grab measurements directly from your scans. Accuracy is to within .3mm (I'm not joking, it's impressive).

I would find it hard to believe that HK, a company in Asia, would fly staff all the way to Hendon in the UK just for $hits and giggles. I'd say this is pretty confident evidence that they are taking a good, long, hard look at giving us a Beaufighter in our beloved 1/32.

As for the other aircraft there, unless I see a photo of the scanner actively working directly near a plane, I'm not buying it. They seem to indicate they were scanning several aircraft, but the only one we know for sure is the Beau. I agree with others here, I think the photo near the 109 is just to show the scanner, as it's not actively "at work" scanning the 109.

I also agree with others here, and to bridge a few threads that are active (Eduard 1/32 releases) on LSP, I think HK should stick to their wheelhouse of multi-engined WWII stuff. Bring us a Beau. Take a stab at a B-26. Fix Hobby Boss' terrible error and do the A-26. Leave the single-engine stuff to the likes of ICM, Eduard (pretty please), and Hasegawa (probably not happening) and Tamiya (probably definitely not happening).

    Exciting times ahead!
