This is one of the finest Corsair-builds i've seen so far! Very well done! The weathering is spot on! Not to much, just right!

Did you had problems with the Eduard set?

The cockpit looks good in my opinion.

Cheers!

That is very high praise, I don’t think it’s worthy of it! Thank you!

The Eduard cockpit is superbly detailed but it just didn’t fit properly, and didn’t go into the fuselage well at all. I sort of bodged a solution to hide the gaps. If I was to do another one I would use the kit cockpit and super-detail it with things like the ANYZ switches and some scratchbuilding. A lot of the detail Eduard provide vanishes in the bottom once you seal it up.

Sophie, that is incredible.  The detail you put into the engine and the overall "dirtying up" of the aircraft speaks of a lot of talent, time, and effort.  The overall result is stunning!  You should be commended for a job well done!

Great finish. Weathering is also the most fun part for me, it really brings the model to life.

The Birdcage is in my stash halfway build as well. What was it with the eduard cockpit? for me the rudder pedals were a challenge4gJSu8P.jpgW28u23U.jpg8UpLp0C.jpgange
