So what happend on this one

the wings are on and for size its a A3 cutting mat

the fit off the wings need work so already put some putty on and start sanding.

Still needs more work lik scribbing but first im going to put some primer on to see where it needs more work

Only didt sanding an putty on the top side so far

Im planning to use some evergreen to fill the big gaps and some putty.

I didt my best to get the fit so good i can get but this area whas a no go beter

Thats it for now.

Im hoping to have a bit more bench time but will see how things go here at home

Mark

Great job so far Mark!

I'm thinking about the gap between the fuselage tail section and the lower back part of the wings... maybe fitting first the wings and then the tail section could help with the fitting adjustment?

Keep on with the Viggen!

That is actually how I approached it. I think it is easier to get a good fit but you will still end up filling gaps as the the wings are just not long enough (if that makes sense). I also suspect it makes it a bit easier to avoid too much of a horizontal step between the two sections.

I also found it better to handle the model and get a good grip while attaching the wings, without the rear section attached yet.

But, hey - Mark certainly showed that this is a way to get a good fit as well ^_^

That is a substantial piece of kit.  Looks like it's going together quickly, and shouldn't need too much work to go together.

Keep up the great work Mark!

Fantastic work - could I suggest that you use scrap resin cut to size to fill the gaps. I have done that previously and found it east to work with and to get good results when combined with super glue.

thanks for the tip

Aside from the awesome work on the Viggen…that Mirage looks rather fine.

I was just thinking the same - If you feel like sharing some more pictures of that Mark I am sure we would love to see it up close ^_^

thanks

Indeed, almost the same size lengthwise and spanwise as the Mirage. But it looks more massive than the graceful Mirage.

Thanks for posting that image, Mark.

Cheers

Rainer

yes indeed the viggen is more agressive with all the lumps and bumps, first i was thinking it will be bigger

Those Gaps are triggering my PTSD ,It  took a lot of modelling sessions to close up the gaps , but so it's been the only down side of kit so far (Apart from the So***ng colour  scheme )

it looks bad but with some time and love it turns out good
