seiran01
My July quick build is finally finished, now that replacement decals and renewed modelling mojo both arrived in recent days. Wingnut Wings 2F.1 Ships Camel, modified to represent Cully's armament setup when he took off from a towed Lighter and shot down a zeppelin. The airframe survives to this day and is hanging in the imperial war museum. The restored aircraft has the Vickers gun "hole" uncovered, so it was also left this way in the build. Lewis guns were robbed from WNW two-seaters. The actual plane, restored: Camel on a Lighter - ultimately this will be the complete build, as ODG Studios' 1/32 Lighter is in the process of being cast this week. I'll share pics once I have my copy! mywifehatesmodels, Bill Cross, MikeMaben and 8 others

OldTroll
Hmmmm....doesn't look much like an F4U-4 but it's a lovely build nonetheless. Great job, Mike - looking forward to the lighter "end game."

Simmo.b
Awesome mate!! I am waiting on a lighter as well. Can I ask how you decided on the brown finish as opposed to green? I want to get my camel right so would value your advice. Cheers Brent
seiran01
Thanks everyone! Brent - went PC12 instead of PC10 mostly because pretty much everyone does their Camels green. Could have been either, but really, PC10 (green) is probably more likely
