Guest Peterpools Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 Tomasz Amazing - how you were able to repaint all the ribs replicating the wood material in such a short time is mind boggling Keep 'em comin Peter
Spirit of Santos Dumont Posted December 25, 2017 Posted December 25, 2017 WOW, simply great ! Just a dream to read this thread from begining to end. Thank's for sharing with us this project.
themongoose Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 There's enough kit in there to really fly this thing, truly amazing work. It's like you were building the real thing. â€
tomaszhajzler Posted December 30, 2017 Author Posted December 30, 2017 Hi All Thank's for comments, fine you like her. Last update this year. I hope next year will be the last of this project. Two small subassemblies. Arrested hook first. Tail wheel is the second one. Happy New Year, awesome projects. See you next year Tomasz Uilleann, sandokan, BiggTim and 2 others 5
Gazzas Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 Tomasz, So many great things about this build! It's interesting to see all of the parts that go into the tailwheel. Happy New Year!! Gaz
scvrobeson Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 Every update is just better and better. Slap some fabric on the exposed areas, and it'd probably fly if you fueled it up Matt
Bil Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 I've been wondering how you are doing on this project. That tail wheel does look terrific.
Hubert Boillot Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 (edited) If it were a 1/12 scale model, the tail wheel would be terrific already ... But this is 1/32, and I know how small this actually is Absolutely gobsmacking modelling, Tomasz Hubert Edited February 24, 2018 by MostlyRacers

LSP_Kevin Posted February 24, 2018 Posted February 24, 2018 That really is some incredible modelling! Kev
Bil Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Yes that is really coming along, you are doing an amazing job really... however.. I think you knew there was going to be a however didn't you? I apologize ahead of time for the following... If the construction is similar to the Stearman, designed around the same time by the same company, then the aileron and the horizontal and vertical tail surfaces should be of metal construction. Not sure if you have seen the images on this site: Boeing Image Archive I think maybe you have... some of the images show the horizontal stab and rudder without the covering.. zooming into these images clearly shows metal construction for the F4B series of fighters. The aileron images aren't as clear, but I think are pretty definitive as well. Now I am prepared to eat crow if I am incorrect, but I don't think so. Bil
tomaszhajzler Posted March 24, 2018 Author Posted March 24, 2018 (edited) Hi Gents! Small update. Some photos of the tail from starboard side (dark side of the moon). Regards Tomasz Edited November 17, 2018 by tomaszhajzler Starfighter, chukw, Uilleann and 8 others 11
airscale Posted March 25, 2018 Posted March 25, 2018 Tomasz - as usual that is staggeringly good.. ..the fit, finish and sheer ambition of a project like this is just incredible - where will you display it once it is finished, surely a museum somewhere? It deserves an audience ..quite sublime.. Peter Uilleann and Shawn M 2
