Very nicely done. Currently working on mine right now. I hope it comes out as nice as yours did.

I set about engraving all the rivet lines on this FW 190...
    Wow, what a long job!
They're all over the wings, the fuselage, straight rivet lines, angled rivet lines, short rivet lines, long rivet lines...
Anyone who's done the sport on this plane knows what I'm talking about.
At a guess, I'd say I've done 80~90% of these rivet lines, as it's extremely time-consuming.
2D plans are compulsory to know what to do, and it's imperative to tick off the rivet lines that have already been done, otherwise you risk getting lost in your work.
    But hey, it's done!

Reuben L. Hernandez reacted to Juggernut in HK B-17F Prices
The HK Website lists the kit at $368.  That's a first for me when a reseller charges more for a kit than the manufacturer.  I know Sprue Brothers ups their prices on existing inventory whenever there's a product price increase.  I'm not sure if that's across-the-board or just with certain manufacturers but I've definitely noticed price hikes on existing inventory...view it one day and it's at price X, then view it a day or two later and it's now price X+Y.  Whatever justification of raising the price of current inventory (that's already been purchased so it's a sunk cost) by cost Y is, I'd like to know.  I still buy a lot from them but I keep my options open until I make my decision.  I also go to Amazon for kits on occasion.  Sometimes, they have really good pricing on kits.  I just picked up two 1/48 Tamiya F-16 kits (different kits) for just over $80, shipped, including sales tax.  You can't even get close to that price with any of the "popular"  resellers that have the kit.  Having said that, with Amazon, you've gotta be Johnny-on-the-spot if you see a kit you're looking for at a very low price...the next time you look at it, the kit may revert back to a higher price.  Also, Amazon offers free shipping on a lot of stuff (at least in the US) on orders over $35....Not everything but a lot of stuff.  Amazon does not currently have the B-17F kit, only the B-17E/F kit.

Another retailer, Scale Hobbyist, has the B-17F kit for $417.90 so there has to have been a price hike by someone, either the manufacturer or in distribution pipeline and like SB, I don't believe they've run out of inventory on this kit either, it used to sell around $395 the last time I looked at it.

Personally, I'd never even look at Kitlinx for anything.  It's the same guy who previously ran another online hobby business (Great Models but I may be mistaken on that) and I think there's been more than a few complaints about product availability and such with this guy.

Andy's price is the best I've ever seen since the 1/32 B-17G was first released.  Back then I think I paid $289 for it (and promptly sold it for that price after looking at what was in the box - personal choice based on my knowledge of the old girl).  I'd say, if you're in the market for a B-17F (or G as I believe this kit comes with all the fixins to make an early G), pull the trigger now or run the risk of missing out on a helluva good price.

DBMK models have posted a thank you on their Facebook page to Duxford for letting them 'LIDAR' their Spitfire 24.
When asked what scale they planned they confirmed it would be 1/32.
I'm guessing that we're probably a couple of years away from any potential release after the Sea Fury, Hornet & Tiger unless they bump it up their schedule.
Good news if it comes to fruition as the Matchbox kit needs to be replaced with a state of the art model.
It's taken a long time but between DBMK & Laminar Flow Designs, the big Griffons are finally getting some well deserved large scale love.

    Hello everyone!
Having finished the engine I brought up all the sub-assemblies together to complete the overall airframe.
Fit has been generally pretty good with the exception of the misaligned engine cowling.
I eventually decided the glue the whole thing to the main fuselage directly thus eliminating the step.
We're now on the final stretch of the build and the model is getting prepped for painting.

I had initially planed to depict Glenn Eagleston's winged skull and bones aircraft but after some further search I came across and fell in love with Neil Stanley's Daddy Rabbit with its cheeky artwork.
So I promptly ordered EagleCal's decal set and getting ready to put on some paint!

DANG IT!!! I was fighting the urge to build in 1/35 scale, but I guess I'm going to have to bite the bullet and get one of these beauties. The kit and your build look fantastic, especially all the oil canning effect.

Pleased for those who are pleased, but ultimately I think if Border succeeds in 1/35 aircraft will be damaging to 1/32 so I hope the venture fails. I would rather model 1/48 than 1/35.

My dad was a huge P-47 fan.  In his honor I switched mid-build (from my Beaufighter at the bottom) and pulled this kit out of the stash.  It's the standard Hasegawa 32nd scale kit finished with a set of super-excellent EagleCal decals.  Can't recommend them enough.  Tried my hand again at oil weathering.

    Cheers

Due to an unanticipated move, this is the only build started and finished in 2023 for me. But it was a lot of fun. The Tamiya kit is magnificent. I added HGW harnesses and wet transfers, barracudacast resin wheels, and a little magic with a small DC motor. Paints are Mission Models primarily.  This is just after takeoff from the crushed coral runway at Henderson Field.

Hello i fairly recently finished this beast.
Of course our know suspect is B-24J from bobby boss in 1/32
I used Eduard interior and seat belts PE set and resin wheel, Quick boost proppellers, montech propeller decals and DN models mask set.
Kit wasnt that hard to build, lots of dry fitting helped along saly even tho i ommited 90% of rear interior 350g of nose weight erent enough to hold it so i had to use leg to support it in my first attemt then i made some simple diorama stand fot it and glued wires to the wheels and made a hook in fron tone to latch it in place.
Personaly i know abaut the wing issue but decided not to get bothered with it and just enjoy the fact i have one of a kind models in my collection.
The model comes in four parts, well rather 7 if we count each propeller invidually as i intend to take it to modeling convections and already did!
Wing and fulseage are separate and then the proppelers come off.
Really challenging was painting the model but it was easier since the wing are removable, dots, roundels, numberts etc were easy, but sharkmout was challenging in the end some brush paint tuch ups were neccesary especially since this "camofluage" was used on H not on J so the chin glass it bit different and lover jaw was 4mm short of the glass so some artistic freedom was used.
    Hope you guysl like it!

Is this some mummy movie reference i am missing?

Mentioned gap on charkmouth due to different chin glass

    After the hand paint correction

Your model looks great and the weathering to my eye looks great also the figure is great. Thanks for sharing this story.

    All-

Here's a little teaser of @Eli Raphael and Zotz's next decal sheet, which will hopefully be available when the new 1/32 HK A-20J/K is released! As our previous A-20G sheet covered PTO Havocs, we wanted to do some ETO birds, which the A-20J/K is the perfect canvas for (this variant was not deployed to the Pacific). Stay tuned for further information, but here's a couple profiles to whet your appetite!

What I use, because I build in a separate garage, is a small mini fridge. It’s designed for 3-4 cans of Coke-Cola. It keeps it cold enough and it’s small enough for table top use. This is what I basically have and it was giving to me as a gift.
