Hi Kev,
My prefered method for 3D prints is after a good clean and dry, then spray with car type grey primer (I use Halfords in the UK) then before it drys spray over with Mr Finishing Surfacer 1500 gray then give it about 24hours in a warmish place that gives it a good coating to work on. After I'm happy with the part a final seal of Mr F Surf 1500.
We've been using that combo for years and both sprays directly from a rattle can.

I think most commercial CA debonders nowadays use propylene carbonate, because it is non-toxic and has only limited potential for irritation. Undiluted acetone obviously attacks polystyrene, but in principle it should be safe to use on PUR. That said, I agree it's not really a leap of faith you'd want to take on an expensive and rare kit! So, maybe test on a casting block first to be safe?

When I first encountered super glue the stuff was mega-expensive that was way back, there was a de-bonder which was also very expensive on a couple of occasions we needed to remove the stuff we used "fresh" not tinned  pineapple juice not quick but it worked.
That was on the early mixes not used that technique for years.

The hard fact is that 1/24th aftermarket is not a big seller, we did a range of seat belts for British,American and German WW2 and have only had to re-order the the British sets (thanks to the Airfix Mosquito) since we had our original  stock in.
 
But there is an option to scan and reprint using 3D technology but that's not cheap.
The new structured light scanning looks good.

When you heat a plastic up it expands hence the curving of the plastic, you could try "cold rolling " roll the plastic with a bar on a hard surface that should give you a bend that is flat.
