I would have quoted that in my previous post if I'd clicked on the link instead of assuming VMA131Marine meant the Lancaster's elder brother. Another type I'd not heard of until today.

WnW is doing a Lancaster series and the Lancaster was derived from the similar, if ultimately ill-fated, Avro Manchester. A Manchester conversion is clearly feasible. But, I was referring to much less well-known WWI biplane bomber, a subject which is more aligned with WnW's typical subject matter. Far too subtle! I assumed you meant the ww2 Manchester - I had no idea Avro, of all companies, actually built a WW1 twin engine bomber called the Manchester!

My 3: 1. Avro 504, in both a J/K and a postwar N boxing; 2. Comic Camel 3. Sopwith Baby floatplane If no 1 counts as two choices, delete 3. All good picks! I’d say a Sopwith Baby would have to be in the mix definitely.. MikeC 1
LSP_K2 Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 Fokker Dr.I Nieuport 11 or 16 SPAD VII or XIII All in no particular order (except that the Dr.I is first.)

ringleheim Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 (edited) I'm holding out hope that one day we'll get a Caudron G.4. There's a lovely one out at Udvar Hazy waiting for them to analyze. Edited November 4, 2018 by ringleheim Rick Griewski, Tnarg, LSP_Ray and 1 other 4
esarmstrong Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 ^^ I don't know if WNW will do a Caudron G.4, but Copperstate has already done one in 1/48 scale. Would they dare to upscale to 1/32... Tnarg and ringleheim 2
kalashnikov-47 Posted November 6, 2018 Posted November 6, 2018 I'm just hoping they'll start rolling out some French subjects. Some of you guys said Breguet 14 . That would be a great start.
Dennis7423 Posted November 6, 2018 Posted November 6, 2018 Just received their email newsletter, and they will have a Lancaster test shot, as well as a brand new release (to be revealed on Sunday) at Telford this coming weekend. - Dennis S. Thornton, CO USA

That would be a great start. Yes it would! They would probably do 2 versions with French and American decals. Would be happy to see some Belgium, Italian or Austrian subjects too. But the French need more representation and PJ has one in his museum so surely it’s in the mix?
