Thanks for responding to my question on the LANTIRN Pod qualification Brad.

I figured it was a long shot but worth asking.

I am contemplating a Night Owl F-4D ..... I found a set of decals on Ebay ....Warbird decals ....depends on their quality.

I recieved the 24 th Airfix Mosquito NF II today that has a nightfighter decal option.

So that might be my build instead of the Revell 262

Brad, put me on the list as undecided for now.

Ok, I'm gonna be silly and jump into this. Thanks much to Hans for the pic he sent today..., Wilhelm Frankl's Albatross D III will be my entry. I have both the Roden and the Battleaxe kits, haven't decided yet which I'll build.

While you are deciding, build the Roden

Alternatively, don't build the Battleaxe

Or you could bin the Battleaxe to save time

If you are still undecided, build the Roden, the Roden or the Roden

I'm only saying this because I built a Battleaxe kit once, and I nearly gave up on aviation modelling completely afterwards

The Roden would be a good choice

Here's some ideas I may try...since I have a lonely E-4:

Me109T, 1943:

Messerschmitt-Bf-109T-I.NJG101-Manching-

Or 109E4 1940-41:

Messerschmitt-Bf-109E4-10.NJG1-Black-4-e

Apparently at this time, these machines operated with no specialized equipment.

I tried really hard to find a 109E nightfighter that wasn't G9+JV.

Speaking of G9+JV, here is another G9+ without the belly bulge and black paint:

Messerschmitt-Bf-109E4-10.NJG1-(G9+AV)-t

I'll look at doing Black 4.

So yeah...color me involved!

I'm starting to build the 1/32 Tigercat and if I converted it into a F7F-4N (night fighter), would that be OK?

Yes, just be sure that it's under the 25% complete rule at the start of the GB.
