The problem with the nose is that Fly made the nose slightly short and the "intake hole" 3 mm too wide. By cutting of the nose ring and replacing it with the resin "nose/intake part" will solve this issue.

The other error that I've found with this kit is that the main gear wells opening are slightly to large.

This is however a very easy fix since all you have to do is to add a small strip of plasticard on the upper edge.

This strip should be 1,6 mm wide. It may sound little but it's very noticable.

Other things I'm thinking of doing is new main wheels. The are not bad in the kit but I have scanned them just in case.

What do you think? Should I make them as well?

This is how they look in the kit:

And in real life:

I'm hoping to be able to start selling the nose parts in about two weeks.

I've just bought a -B model, and I look forward to buying your improvements whenever they're ready, :m0152:

Actually the J 29 cockpit is this shallow! It had to be since it's squeezed in above the intake channel. :)

Here is how it looked like without the seat installed when I worked in the cockpit...

However, I wonder what Fly where thinking when they put that big box on the cockpit floor for the seat to sit on...

The seat should be sitting directly on the floor.

Perfect reference as well, thanks for this Andreas!

Welcome aboard, Andreas!

Very glad to have you here. As a Tunnan fan, but hardly an expert, I'm looking forward to both your appraisal of the Fly kit, and your proposed fixes for it. Put me down as a customer for any correction parts you produce.

Kev

Ditto...Welcome Anders.
