109
Good evening good sirs! Some progress on my Dora-9: Side panels: First I make a template from .13 mm sheet styrene: I transfered the template to lithoplate and cut it to shape: I added a paper template for the rivet pattern around the jackup pipe. Also added the frames and stringers with a pencil: Edited January 7, 2017 by 109 fab, Greg W, sandokan and 6 others

109
Hi, I riveted and glued the side panels in place. They still need some fine tuning: Does anyone know what this hatch (yellow circle) is? I cannot see it in photos of the real thing ...?! Any help is appreciated! :-) Starfighter, Greg W, sandokan and 7 others
109
Hallo I did some research on the rectangular hatch, it seems that it is limited to the D-13 variant only as I couldn't find a authentic photo of a D-9 with that hatch. 109
Good evening, I started the large panel on the port side of the fuselage. I cut a template from sheet styrene for the front panelwith the prominent, large hatch. The outline of the template were transfered to lithoplate. The hatch was then cut with a saw and then file to exact dimensions using echappement file. While cutting I backed the sheet metal with a MDF plate to stabilize it while handling. 109
Hi, too little time for scale modeling ... :-( I tried to research some rivet patterns, they seem to differ somewhat when it comes to the details. I also settled to a method of transfering the patterns onto the lithoplate: Making a template from sheet styrene Cutting the lithoplate panel. Scanning the panel. Drawing the rivet pattern. Printing the pattern on semi transparent paper. Embossing the rivet pattern. BiggTim, Derek B, Doctorgaz and 7 others

I also settled to a method of transfering the patterns onto the lithoplate: Making a template from sheet styrene Cutting the lithoplate panel. Scanning the panel. Drawing the rivet pattern. 109
Some progress on my Dora ... Dry fitting of the panel after embossing the rivets. I also masked off the hatch area to prevent glue residues in this area: Panel glued in place: Mid fuselage section starting to look like an mid fuselage section :-) sandokan, Greg W, Doctorgaz and 3 others

109
Good evening good Sirs! I started the hatch, I cut it from lithoplate and made it to fit the panel. Next I scribend the out line of the fasteners. I also made the piano hinge from tubing (Albion alloys). Next will be the rivet pattern ... Good night :-) Lars Befring, fab, airscale and 5 others
