thierry laurent
Another aspect nobody mentioned is how the box is far too large! It could be 30% smaller. So, don't be over-impressed by the box size. I really hate this as this results in wasted storage space. Looking at the parts, there is no doubt at least another kit will be released. The kit is not Tamiyaesque but looks very healthy and the progress since the Starfighter release is visible. I hope they will go on with other cold war fighters as now the price/quality ratio is better. Harold and Zero77
thierry laurent
Wasted storage space? You store models? You don't build immediately after buying?? Surely no! I need something to do when I will be retired. At least, in case of atomic war, I've enough kits to be busy up to my final day! Zero77
Same thing for me. My retirement can last at least 30 years, and i dont count the kits i'll be buying until then !
Tony T
I thought I'd be all over this kit but have hesitated so far. Maybe saving it for Xmas ! It is a buy-to-build. Big boxes are curious. I remember the Italeri/Testors 1/48 SR-71A/B coming out around 1984 in a dinky box that belied its size. (The Testors edition was like a suitcase.) Maybe they learned long ago to put kits in the biggest plausible box. Tony
Dave Williams
I think the Mirage box is the same size as the F-104 box. Italeri might just be using a number of common box sizes for their kits. Harold
AlCZ
Hello, is Mirage most accurate as their Starfighter (i read a Starf isn´t accurate :/) or it is the same case as F-104 ? I love this french beauty and IIICJ is my champion )
ericg
AICZ, it looks to be reasonably accurate so far during my build. The big box size is actually a good thing. Think of the room that you will have to store the aftermarket parts that will surely be coming. Eric Zero77, Harold and otis252
Zero77
And the Italeri F-104 kits are accurate as well. One can find a few defects, but not really regarding accuracy. I'm building one and i'm just having a lot of fun. scvrobeson and Harold
thierry laurent
If they want to go on with western jets, I hope that generation one Harriers and other French fighter-bomber cold war jets are going to be produced as well... Zero77

Harold
Yes..., now hopefully twoseater's .... I need twoseater's.... :-D A friend sent me a two seat conversion for the Revell kit to check out. The instructions were top notch, but the resin was really really sad.
