nmayhew
Thanks for the heads up If this does not have clipped wings, then hopefully the a/m guys will help
Darren Howie
I am hoping it will be a 1A/1D with parts for both. Wouldn't put it past Tamiya to multi box a kit that should be done in one boxing. Still it will be nice.

BloorwestSiR
Man, my wallet is hating me. Between this and the ZM Horton also coming out at the same time, November is shaping up to be an expensive month. I might just wait a bit before getting it since I know it will be around for a while. R Palimaka
That's going to make a lot of people happy, including Tamiya I imagine. I'll add one to my pile, with plans for a British Pacific Fleet aircraft. One of the Canadian pilots for sure, I'm pretty sure no Poles served in the Fleet Air Arm... Dave Williams
Can anybody give us a readers digest version of the differences between -1A and a -1D?? Just curious! Thanks and cheers Alan Mainly the frames across the top of the canopy were deleted, and pylons were added under the wing roots. Also I think the undersides of the outer wings were metal skinned due to rockets being carried there. Some minor cockpit changes too.
Juggernut
Underside of the flap were skinned in metal, not the entire wing from what I've read . D Bellis
D Bellis
The -1D also had the wide-chord prop as standard. D
Urs
The Birdcage and the -1A were basically the same, with minor changes. These there the new canopy, a^raised seat and NO hardpoints. Fieldmods included a CL rack for a drop tank or a 1000lbs bomb. Later -1A (number 551 and later) got a water/methanol injection.
