This time the model is not in camouflage, but the NMF version
In my opinion, this set is one of the better models from KH

    Hi All

This is a JASDF F-4EJ Kai of the 3rd Wing, 8 Squadron "Black Panthers" based at Misawa Air Base. It is painted in the 50th Anniversary markings of the 3rd Wing in 2007

It is based on the Tamiya F-4EJ kit with some additional goodies.
Kopecky Rear end and exhaust Sparkit Ejection Seats Wolfpack F-4EJ Kai ("Kai" is the Japanese word "Modified") conversion set DN Model Paint Masks DXM Decal set
It was painted using a combination of Mr. Hobby paints and MRP. - This was part of the Group Build "Turning Japanese" and there is a Build Thread here https://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?/topic/95291-f-4ej-kai-8th-squadron-jasdf-50th-anniversary-finished/

This was a really fun model to build and I am a bit sad to finish it -luckily there are many cool JASDF aircraft out there waiting to be built

Thanks for looking - Now what to build next ; The Tarhe.. AH-64D.. Border Model Lancaster.. another F-16

Some of the hidden detail :
Ha-102 engines - the only bits I added were the ignition wires. Most of this detail cannot be seen as the cowling is very close fitting - however, the modeller can leave off some cowling panels if so desired.

The two fuselage fuel tanks are totally hidden from view, as are the four wings tanks (not in this photo). Luckily the front and rear offices are visible care of the option to pose the canopies in an open position.

I saw this on Pinterest. First metallic Jetmads Viggen I have seen, all others I saw so far are either grey or mostly splinter camo schemes. I do not know who the builder is, I would ask his permission if I knew, still it looks so cool I could not help post it here. I will remove the images if he shows up and so desires, or better place his name here if I somehow learn it. Whoever he is, he has done a splendid job imho!

Just think of the staff cars, service trucks and FIGURES you can add to any diorama.

Sorry, I build kits, don't care if it's 32 scale or 35 scale, it's a kit. The tiny difference means nothing to me.

This level of detail is proof enough that Border guys are serious about this 1/35 stuff and I can see why. They probably think the number of "Yes!" modelers who'd go crazy to put this kit next to their Kfzs and PzWs combined with those who do not give a damn about a little scale difference will outscore the "No!" modelers, and they may be right.

Looks like a great model to me.

We know their first production run has sold out - ie. they have thousands of orders, individual, retail, or possibly distributor.

    That is a MASSIVE undertaking.

We’re not talking a big multinational company here.

One of the big problems of Facebook, other than being Facebook, is trying to find specific information.  It’s good when a new kit comes out and people are dissecting it, but if you don’t start the kit for months or years later, it’s not easy to sort through all of the posts and pictures to find a particular bit of info you are looking for.  One nice thing about a book is you can pull it out when you need it and quickly find what you’re looking for.  Even conventional forums like this one, you can easily search and find threads on a particular kit or subject.

At the risk of getting boring, sorry chaps, my son who is a very good and knowledgeable photographer, popped in yesterday and took a few snaps. He does clever things like shooting in RAW which I believe increases the number of pixels and therefore definition, then converts to JPEG. Anyway, a sample of his work:

My thanks to all those who helped me along the way, it certainly wasn't a straightforward build and it had its "moments" but the end result is satisfying.

Jeff T reacted to Ali62 in invader correction set
Jack I agree with you in many ways, and I certainly get tired and bored of people going on and on about small issues or tiny errors or small missed details.
HOWEVER as far as the Invader goes just about every part is incorrect, the engine has the incorrect amount of cylinders, the cowlings are very badly shaped, the wing position is 10mm or so to low in the fuselage, the canopy shapes are all wrong, the fuselage cross section is wrong, the undercarriage height is wrong, and there are even more issues. So yes it is very disappointing for me and many others that spent good money wanting to build a kit that would represent an Invader but to be honest built up it is unmistakably an Invader but with so many features wrong it just looks horrible.
so the choices are build it as it is and live with it
build it with some improvements using some parts that are available, but in my eyes this is just making the kit really expensive and also does not correct all the major problems.
There will probably never be another injected moulded Invader especially in many of our life times so the options are not great, for a quick build relatively inexpensive Invader, that is close to being accurate.

The problem you experienced is very rare and has nothing to do with the clear film being brittle. Archer rivets are printed on Microscale clear decal film and very rarely the film is too thin and breaks up easily. Everything Archer has ever sold over its 30+ years in business comes with a lifetime, unconditional guarantee that promises either a full refund or replacement, whichever the customer prefers, and it's not necessary to return the defective product.

Even though Archer has closed all you would have to do is send me an email at help@archertransfers.com and I will honor my guarantee, just as I have for over thirty years.

NO - HARD STOP.  It's because of the horrible, impossible to build, complexity of their Mosquito FB.IV kit.  I know this because I read it on the internet.   Truly stunned that, again, they have ignored the demands of the modeling community and opted not to release a new-tool P-51K.    Would have been a license to print money.

EDIT - on the bright side, I think we can get this thread up to 20 pages at least with hundreds of "It's proven - Tamiya will never release a LSP again" posts.   Give it a go lads!
