Jan_G
I'm quite a big fan of all new revell offerings in our scale so I have grab the new Mustang immediately after it has appeared (and for 20 EUR ) There are several airframes of D-5 I like but I would like to partially finish it in NMF so "Hurry Home Honey" is my choice. I will use all new Eduard AM for it (brassin sets and PE as well). Have the G-factor legs so maybe I will use it for this build. And of course the HGW seatbelts. New PE set from Eduard for the interior has the instruments glazing already so looking forward to put it together. I have already started and you need to spend some time with cleaning the parts but no real bummer. More in progress pics soon. thanks for looking jan Trak-Tor, Kagemusha, LSP_Kevin and 4 others
1to1scale
Take a look at your G-factor gear, this kit has a similar setup to their 109G6, where the bottom is "L" shaped. I don't know if you could easily adapt the G-factor gear, but maybe you can find a way. sandokan
Jan_G
I have finished to paint the cockpit parts, now it's time for subtle weathering and few wires added all PE. I was really impressed by the new PE instrument panel, the detail is great Im trying to keep the build as simple as possible and just want to enjoy it as a site project and the kit is really nice, didn't find so far any fit issue I was to lazy to apply wood decals or to use oil paints for small piece of wooden floor which will bevisible through the scratches. So I went with Radu's wood PE stencil. Scratches done with help of Ammo Scratch effect fluid everything fits! thanks for looking jan Edited February 18, 2018 by Jan_G MikeMaben, Model_Monkey, Rick Griewski and 8 others

Jan_G
Thanks guys for your comments really apreciate it Now sitting at my work (better monitor) desk I can see that pictures are overexposed and Mr. Paint Interior green looks to bright, in reality its different And I have to repaint rear wheel well, cause this is early D Mustang, so most probably it should be bare aluminium not YZC jan

Radub
Beautiful work so far, congratulations. I have only one major observation to make about the extent of the black area on the floor. I have seen this on another build report on this forum. The black anti-skid area was limited only to the places where feet could reach, which is largely the area with the opening for the control stick. On your model, the front delimitation is correct, but at the back the black area should stop along the engraved line running from the middle of the two circular openings for the fuel tank gauges. Please do not take this as a shameless promotion of my own product, but I make decals for the floor and that is the extent of the black surfaces. http://www.radubstore.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_65&products_id=718&zenid=75af180e508c1afb394a8b529cc4a1b8 Here are some photos of the parts with the black surface. The rest of the floor was painted green. There was no need for anti-slip coating under the seat where the feet could never reach. CANicoll
Beautiful build Jan and thanks for the detailed pictures. Watching with interest the great detail in your build. I have this kit as well, and have ordered another one. Radu, thanks for the info on the mustang non-slip flooring - excellent to see the actual pictures! Jan_G
didn't have much time for modelling in past days, at least I have managed tocorrect and finish the cockpit colors shaded, some filters and wash aplied. Finished with semimatt and matt varnish PE parts are nice improvement over the plastic details. HGW seatbelts added as well. thanks for looking jan Harrison90, CANicoll, BrianB and 6 others

RLWP
Having just done that bit, isn't that cockpit assembly clever. Mine slotted itself together beautifully Richard Jan_G
