Landrotten Highlander
Nice age to go, as go we all must. Condolences to his family and friends, another piece of our history moves to the eternal pages...
Scotsman
If you want to know the man , read his book, "carrying the fire" a masterful book covering his life up to Apollo 11= perhaps the best autobiography of any Apollo era astronaut
ringleheim
Any watch enthusiasts here? In this photo, he is presumably wearing his Omega Speedmaster on his right wrist (he was a lefty?) Note the bracelet: does not look correct for the watch at that time! Maybe he put his own bracelet on his Speedy. I found this interesting. scvrobeson and Out2gtcha
Dandiego
All of my heroes are slipping away..... RIP Mike. A true American explorer. Dan
LSP_K2
Sad. I'll always remember him as the loneliest man in space, at least during the Apollo mission. Out2gtcha and scvrobeson

vince14
The only human being, dead or alive, not contained within the frame of this photograph was Michael Collins. Truly an exceptional life. Not a ton of watches in my stash, but I've been dreaming of a Breitling B50 for years. I simply cant justify the price
Adrian
Always loved his dry wit. Farewell and God speed.
scvrobeson
Wish he had gotten his chance to step on the Moon. He was so close twice on both Apollo missions, but never stepped foot on it. Still an incredible American hero, had an excellent life both as an astronaut and as director of the A&S Museum Matt Edited April 28, 2021 by scvrobeson

I used to have an Omega Soccer watch, it said seamaster, but it was identical to the one in the pic, except the face was black/white/orange. And, yes, it was real, from the dealer like that.
