Nr. 140467), 8H+BH 1(F)/33, This Aircraft was flown by Oberleutnant Ulrich Planck on one of the last recon- naissance missions over British territory on 4th April 1945. This was almost certainly the last Luftwaffe mission over East Yorkshire, possibly over the British mainland at all, in World War II. As the Germans retreated in the final days of WW2, the Arado's of 1(F)/33) were relocated from Wittmundhafen to Schleswig. On 4th May 1945 Lt. Planck flew 8H+BH from Schleswig to 'Fliegerhorst Grove'. At 8.35pm on May 4th 1945 the German troops in the Netherlands, northwest Germany and Denmark surrendered. On 5th of May Lt. Planck departed from Grove to Stavanger-Sola (Norway) in Arado Ar 234B-2 8H+DH. German forces in Norway didn't capitulate before 8/9 May 1945. 8H+BH was captured at Grove by British troops in May 1945.
