MikeMaben
Thanks guys, Hi Richard, I popped a capillary (tiny vein) in my right eye and had blood swirling around in there. The blood dissipates over time and clears away. I'll be going in in few weeks so they can see if I need anything laser welded to prevent future popping. Out2gtcha
This is pretty sweet! (The D model 109, not popping a capillary) MikeMaben
MikeMaben
I applied a decal !!! See if you can find it. Anyway, I finally got the oil bubble removed from my right eye so I have a little better depth perception (not perfect yet) so all I've been able to do is putz around with relatively small things. Hope to be getting more done now. Aahaaarrr ! turbo, R Palimaka, Dutch Man and 20 others
Lothar
With that decal applied it now starts to look like a 109 . I really do hope your vision does improve rapidly now, my best wishes in your direction!!! Lothar Paul in Napier and MikeMaben 1
MikeMaben
Thanks Lothar , I'm lucky to have vision back in that eye at all. It's a miracle of modern technology and talented people. Paul in Napier, jgrease and Lothar
Derek B
Nice work Mike. I also have this conversion set - unusual for resin parts to be oversized, the opposite is the usual case! Cheers Derek
MikeMaben
Hey thanks Derek , the flaps were oversize because they were designed for the ancient Hasegawa E.

Thunnus
So sorry to hear about the eye issues, Mike! I see the decal and like the progress! The RLM02 interior color is so much more interesting than the dark RLM66 color that I'm always having to use. MikeMaben
MikeMaben
Thanks John, I was just being silly with the decal. I had to stick that on there before I attach the rear canopy and then realized "hey ! the first decal is on ! ". My eye will be fine, it's just a matter of time. MikeMaben
Puttin' some color on just to prove I'm doing SOMETHING !! Using the Cameo cutter for some of it. I'm aslo making a canopy masking set (inside and out) which is taking more time than I thot it would (major slowdown) LSP_Kevin, R Palimaka, Brett M and 13 others
turbo
Cool, looks good Mike! How do you find the Cameo? Is it a 4? MikeMaben
MikeMaben
Nope, it's the original Cameo 1. I have all the software up to Business 4.3 which I got so I could import AI files as I do pretty much all my imaging in Illustrator 6. I may upgrade to a 4 as it cuts heavier materials like sheet plastic. I've cut sheet plastic with the 1 but I think 10 thou is the thickest I could cut successfully. They're a fun tool if you have the patience to climb the learning curve. Sakai, Out2gtcha, mozart and 1 other
mozart
Good to see some progress Mike, especially involving the Cameo cutter, what you’ve done looks spot on. MikeMaben
monthebiff
Nice progress Mike, the joint of the new nose to fuselage looks very good which is quite the opposite to my B version which I have a major problem with which has caused me to stall on that one .
