fightnjoe Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 Well all good things must come to an end. This is the finished Hasegawa 1/32 P-40E. Let me recap. -Scratchbuilt interior minus seven kit parts, one resin engine, and one resin seat. -Scratchbuilt tail wheel assembly. -Scratchbuilt wing framing. -Scratchbuilt .50 cals. -After market decals. All told way to long to finish. But I will take it. Again the pictures are much too faded but this time I know why. There are some issues/omissions, glaring to me. The ones I did not fix are the ones that would require me to tear the build apart and start over. Thank you for looking in. All comments, critiques, and criticism are encouraged. ringleheim Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 Looks great, Joe! I really like the cutaway approach so you can see some of the interesting detail inside. I love P-40s!
Anthony in NZ Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 (edited) Remarkable workmanship there Joe Whilst following along I realized a model made like this has a wider appeal to people (not just modelers) to appreciate. What you have created enables non aviation people to see what an old Aircraft looks like inside and tell a story of the theater it operated in. Beautiful work buddy, I really love this Cheers Anthony Edited January 21, 2019 by Anthony in NZ
Jan_G Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 great build Joe! I really like the weathered look jan

rigor Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 Outstanding joe they get better and better. What's next ?
mustang1989 Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 Ya know.....this build is truly deserving of the comments and praise that it's getting. I simply cannot believe that on "the other" forum that there hasn't been at the very least at least "thumbs up" given after two days of the finish of this beautiful aircraft being posted. Hell some pointers or critique would've done ..............but post something. I mean...........damn! Enough of my rant. This is , without a doubt, one of the best P-40's I've seen built yet.
fightnjoe Posted January 24, 2019 Author Posted January 24, 2019 Thank you both. You have been very kind. Honestly not sure what will be next. Joe
themongoose Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 Super nice creative, custom work! It’s really cool to pop side to side and see both levels of details, weathering and interior.
