shadowmare Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 (edited) Trumpeter MiG-3 with Part set, resin exhausts and Montex masks. Inscription on the side means "For the motherland". Nice kit with, surprisingly, no major errors. I improved few things like a propeller blades - awfully thick in the kit. As a support for photos I used old cigarette case from Soviet Union when Saint Petersburg was a Leningrad. For Poland where I live, it was a dark and hard time. May it never come back. shadowmare Posted June 8, 2017 Author Posted June 8, 2017 Thanks guys! Nice build! What is your opinion about the Part parts? Regards - dutik Thanks! Part sets are good but without paint so you must do it by yourself. Sometimes it's better option than Eduard because they often use wrong colors for their photoetched parts. dutik 1
dennismcc Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Great build and finish, I built mine a couple of years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it, a really nice kit Cheers Dennis shadowmare 1
Bill Cross Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 . Unusual subject matter and well-done. shadowmare 1
Old Dog Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Very nicely done and it's nice to see one in colors other than white and red ! Bill Cross, Joel_W and shadowmare 3
AdamR Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Very nice job on a not-too-common subject. The MiG-3 has always interested me because I like its looks but it's one of the rare aircraft that broke the old aviation rule: "if it looks good it will fly good." https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikoyan-Gurevich_MiG-3 shadowmare and Bill Cross 2
