Italeri RAAF Mirage IIIO. FINISHED

Some more work before I head off and do my 8 sectors over the next 24 hours. (a tongue poke to the A380 guys that hang around on this thread.)

 

I primed the two cockpit sidewalls. Starting to look OK. I will copy these in resin and then further refine the resin parts before recopying them.

A small detail that I felt would add to the cockpit tub was the map pocket on the left side. I made this from Tamiya Epoxy putty, and then shaped it with a toothpick.

So, my favorite part of modelling is making my multi part masters into one single part, poured from 2 liquids mixed together in the fascinating process known as resin casting.

 

I immersed each of the sidewalls and the rudder actuator fairing in some moulding silicone:

A few moments later and these came out in glorious resin!
