kkarlsen
Yes, my friend, cutting the nose by 2-2,5mm will fit the Tasman nose glass, although you will get very close to the side windows. I decided to shorten those by 1-1,5mm to get some space between the side windows and nose glass... I also haven't done any research into the main canopy, but I think your right, something's not right there (too narrow perhaps???) KK
kkarlsen
Time to get back to the Mosquito, rebooting the project for the new year... I can't believe it's almost a year since I last worked on the cockpit... Navigator's seat... Radio installation... Pilot's seat... Right side fuselage... Left side fuselage... The cockpit... I really want to finish this build in 2017, lets see how it goes... dodgem37
Your painting skills are as special as your scratch-building skills. Very nice. Sincerely, Mark kkarlsen

monthebiff
Superb work Kent, still liking the way you cut the one piece fuselage down the middle into halves.......a realy great idea which is paying dividends now as its so difficult to get any type of detail in there otherwise. Regards. Andy kkarlsen
Guest Peterpools
Kent Absolutely brilliant work and your front office is beyond belief; amazing work. And I thought Tamiya's front office was detailed and after studying yours, it doesn't even come close. Keep 'e coming Peter

kkarlsen
I've been sifting through some of the research I have been doing into DZ414... Some of the footage revealed some more details regarding this specific plane, how could I miss this? Well better late then never, right? This is DZ414 landing sometime during the summer of 1944... Probably just a month or two before 'she' is refittet with the special nose glass panel... This is new to me, the captures clearly shows 'O' Orange letter on the fuselage, but definitely not white, maybe yellow? Hmm... Propellers are the thin neadle type... DZ414 taxies in front of camera (spoked wheels) The 'tunnel' for the nose camera i clearly visible and a closeup of the nose of DZ414, with mission markings, this is just great!!! DZ414 late 1944...
