After having major fits with fuselage fit issues last night (the thickness of the sidewalls turned out to be the issue, preventing the IP from fitting properly), I finally gave up and decided to attack the problem fresh today. Success! Fuselage now all glued up. Onward and upward, so to speak.

I've gone ahead and merged these two threads, as they were about the exact same thing.

I must say that if I ever use this set again, and I probably will, I’ll scrub it thoroughly and primer it before painting. I ripped more paint of this small part than I’ve ever stripped off five other whole models combined, and that’s while using low tack painters tape! Honest to goodness, I’ve ripped paint off different parts of this assembly four or five times now.

The He 219 does it for me, what a nice job.

It was a pre-war Luftwaffe camouflage color.

Thanks, Mark. I can't imagine why I have it at all.

For whatever reason, I have two bottles (recently discovered) of MRP RLM61. What was this color used for? Anyone know?
Thanks a bunch,

I’ve now masked and painted radios and floor using Tamiya tire black, as well as misc wall details. I’m hoping to wrap this up tonight or tomorrow so I can get the fuselage halves zipped up. That may be a bit overly optimistic, as I still yet have to add all of the tiny Barracuda stenciling and placards, which I hope will add some real "zing". We’ll see.

Mark inadvertently sent them to me, but I've supplied him with the correct email address now.

I now have the email from Mark, and it certainly addressed my issues with the EagleCals sheet. Thanks a bunch, Mark, I really appreciate the assist.

So, it now seems I'm back in business with this project as well. This is my first look (no pun intended) at the Eduard Look panels, and I must say that I highly approve, and will certainly be buying more.

No email yet, but I did PM you with some stuff.

I just discovered I have a copy of this Schiffer book, which I have now added to the references database. It covers the bombs and markings in somewhat decent detail, but unfortunately still leaves a lot of unanswered questions, so I'll just keep digging.

OK, some base color spritzed on the interior now. Detail painting to follow. Just for the sake of variety, the seat frame will be a slightly different (darker) green. The Aires bits are really nice, and add a certain serious look to the interior.

I became aware of this kit a few weeks back, and just knew that I needed it. Decals are included for no less than twelve schemes, one of which is the scheme I’d already chosen to begin with. Kit also includes some nice PE and resin parts, and the tooling of the aircraft itself is outstanding. Not cheap, but worth every dime. (Paid for by selling off some of my other 1:48 kits.)

What are your concerns with this scheme Kevin? Color callouts? Patterns?

I'll send a PM later, Mark, but mostly the color specs on the two-toned wing and fuselage stripes.

It seems like Flightpath might have made some stuff, but I'm not sure.

Hi Kevin
Could find no info about this airframe in any of my many books on the Me262. But now i am intrigued so i just ordered the book.
If you do not have any clarification before it arrives i will scan the pages for you then .
Cheers
Mikkel
I appreciate that offer a bunch. Mark has offered some assistance as well, so hopefully I can get it sorted out.

Perhaps I can help. Which EE sheet concerns you? PM or e-mail (I think you have the later).
Mark Proulx
Same answer as above. Any help you could offer would be great, Mark.

Excellent photos. Thanks a bunch for posting those.

Hi Again
I apologize i dont have that book. I have vol. 4 that have a nearly identical cover.
What kind of info are you looking for, i might have other books on the subject.
Cheers
Mikkel
I desire to see specific Me 262 photos that EagleCals specified on their decal sheet. Something about their color call outs seems a bit strange to me.

OK, both items (now no longer needed for this project) showed up today from Super-Hobby (ordered back on 03 24); not really too bad, all things considered.
